Seattle Area - Good Spots for Photos?

Hey PNW folks! I'd like to get some cool shots of my M and my motorcycle. Anyone in the general Seattle area have any recommendations for great location backdrops for interesting photos?

Still waiting on my M2 to arrive but I do also ride a motorcycle! Some of my favorite spots:

1. Discovery Park - awesome views of Mt. Rainier and the sound
2. Golden Gardens - beach, boat launch, puget sound, Olympic range
3. SoDo trainyard - industrial
4. Alki Beach (and just before where the boat launch is)
5. Magnusen Park - lake washington with some Rainier views
6. Queen Anne area (park overlooking downtown - I forgot the name) - space needle/downtown/rainier views
7. Underneath I-90 at Mercer Island - hidden spot with some graffiti
8. Rainier Brewery - industrial/cool brewery view
9. Leschi (near the boats) - lake washington/classy neighborhood
10. Shilhole sailing club in Ballard - sailing boats/yachts/puget sound/olympic range

Can probably come up with a few others but those are off the top of my head. Just depends on the scene you're looking for!

Awesome! Thanks! I definitely like the more industrial vibe. Georgetown is one of my favorite spots to grab some shots.

Any tips on the SoDO train yard? Where to enter? Where best to shoot?

I'm usually on my supermoto when in that area so getting around in a car might be slightly more challenging but I tend to take E Marginal Way S to Diagonal Ave. Depending on the day, there will be some trains stopped right next to the road, allowing you to pull right up to them.

No problem!

No delivery date yet unfortunately. I ordered from BMW Northwest and am still on the waitlist. Should receive an allocation within the next couple of months hopefully.

Cool. Good luck! The wait is worth it. I was on the list at Seattle for about 15 months from the time I got on the list till the time I took delivery. it was a loooooong 15 months.

Hey Gents. Been lurking on the M2 forum for a while now. Have a 2018 on order through BMW of Seattle. It's a week 35 allocation. Have been on waiting list since April 2016...could have got an earlier allocation but decided to wait for a for the LCI (LED adaptive headlights was the main reason). Decided on LBB with 6MT and no sunroof. Have both an E36 M3/4 and K1300S currently. Starting to get real now as I need to decide what to do with the M3. Bought it new almost 20 years ago now and am having a hard time parting with it since it only has 77K miles, so I need some advice. The K bike is an absolute adrenaline machine that doesn't take up too much garage space, so less of an issue.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts. Hope to meet up with some fellow PNW Beamer and Bimmer heads at some point.

Cheers!
