What part of New England are you in? I used to live in Boston and I know front license plate is needed there as well.
In CT and it's required here as well, but since it is not my daily driver I have been playing the odds because the front looks so much better w/out it.

This is the one you want:

Mounts with no holes, though you can drill on the underside if you want, or just use the 3m tape. Can't really see the mount when the plate isn't on. Can take it on and off easily. Mounts in the center if you want it on which doesn't have the offset to the side look I personally don't like.

make sure you get the SNS67 one. Worth the money for sure.
+1 I have this one as well and like it better than the tow hook mount. Great quality and can be removed if you want. My plan is to stow it most of the time, keep it in the trunk, and if stopped I can just say I forgot to put it back on after the last event, then offer to put it on right then.

That does look like the cleanest solution yet, but I would just end up throwing it in the trunk anyway.

That's exactly what I do. I was stopped for no plate and I told the officer the truth. I removed it to wash my car and I had the plate on the floor behind my drivers seat. Once I explained that he told me to remount the plate once I got home.

For me I originally bought the US millworks kit but after seeing the side mount I think the centre mount looks better actually. It's because the shape of the bumper. Centre mounted flows better imo

Went to a graphics shop with my plate, had a reflective decal made to measure that looks identical to the original plate except it bends to follow the shape of the bumper, and applied it at the center of the bumper where the plate would normally go. No holes, no crap from cops, no interference of airflow to the IC.

Not as good as nothing, but better than a plate mounted anywhere, in my opinion. The graphics guy said that customers have told him that State Patrol cops have sent them to him.

I'll take a pic tomorrow, but then I'll need help getting the pic on this board. I've never figured out how to do that, despite instructions I've gotten.

Yup. I never have it on. It's always in the trunk. But it's there if I need it and if I need it I prefer it centered instead of off to the side.

I have the Sto N sho....Big Mikes. Havent really put it on as of yet....looks better without front plates.
Here another solution, but two holes are drilled under the bumper, looks sturdier than BigMikes Ston show.

https://skenebrackets.com/

I just like it centered instead of on the side.....personal pref.

What I like is that the Sto N Sho mount appears to maximize the amount of air flow, blocking the least.

Thanks Ian. Here in Washington State, as long as these decals are reflective like the plates, cops give you no fuss, or so I'm told. So far, so good...

I went with the millworks after using another brand for years. Was amazed at the quality and novel method for tightening. Impressed so far.

Mine is in the trunk 100% of the time.... so I never see it. Wanted to take pics but I don't have the car with me at the moment. Should have it back tomorrow though.

I've had one on my daily driver MINI JCW for more than 4 years. It hasn't moved a millimeter, and the finish and hardware are still like new. I just wish Millworks had a better design for quick removal like some of the others.

copy paste from another thread

Alright, some pics so you can see how difficult it is to see the mounting hardware if the front plate isn't installed. Don't mind the small bugs splatted on the front bumper or my silly decals...

Got to get down low to see it....

More pics in links below. Don't want to spam all the images to auto load...
