MHD OTS HPFP stage 2(+?) thread
Thought might be useful to start a specific thread on this.
MHD have released an OTS HPFP map for FBO cars. Within the app it's actually called Stage 2 HPFP but requires down pipe and FMIC, so I'm not sure why it isn't called stage 2+ HPFP? In fact on their Facebook post about they DO call it stage 2+ HPFP lol. They say that mid range torque is fair bit better and a little gain up top too, with peak hp only being a tick more as expected. They promise graphs but none have so far surfaced. For some this is a tame mod but I'm more comfortable initially doing a HPFP upgrade like Dorch stg1 than swapping out turbos. I also don't want 500hp (I don't think, lol). Does anyone have any more info or theorise what this tune will do to the car physically (stock turbo is maxed out and octane limited?) and how much difference it will make with guestimates of gains made? Cheers all |

Ive seen a bmw m2 n55, FBO, uprated hpfp, run 446 bhp and 500 lbft, crank, custom tune in the uk,
so i think thats about the stock turbo limit , running this torque on a manual car would need a clutch too , so you have too cost that too |

Interesting thanks, I'm betting the OTS won't be as powerful which is fine as I'd want to run stock clutch.
Apart from combusting more fuel will it be used as cooling too if that is even possible? 450 crank sounds nice where possible. |
