Sorry, just saw this.

Yes, they are awesome, been dreaming of having a set since I had my STi. But I'm still using the lug bolts instead of studs.

oh nice. Yeah. they're really nice. Just takes a bit more care when it comes to taking them on and off. No impact gun and I take it slow when it comes to taking them on and off more so than my Ti kit.

Yes. I'm an OEM guy, so I'm looking for a solution that would allow me to use the OEM 380/30 rotor.

Understood.

I contacted Racing Brake about their discs. Because of one of my questions they’re now posting f/r disc weight within their website description. However their bad news… all parts available except their front adaptors. No eta given. Wah, wah…

I had contacted them as well, and they were very clear that they would not sell me the adapters because of the safety issue.

I still think that with the car, the brakes, and both discs available, a brake specialist could come up with an inexpensive solution. I have a guy that could do it in a day for sure, but he's nowhere near me or my car.

For those running FI-R's and wheel studs... what size studs are you running? Appears most online retailers only stock studs in the 75mm-90mm length.

With FI-R's I have no plans for spacers but wondering how long 75mm-80mm will look with these wheels? If you wouldn't mind sharing the length you're running so I can get visual from your pics.

Any advantages of studs/nuts vs nice set of lug bolts? Other than obvious ease of getting wheel on/off.

Thank you!

My apologies for responding when I can't answer your post, but one of the reasons I didn't go with studs with my FI-R's is that I couldn't find any suitable length studs and nice lug nuts (that's important to me). All of the ones I've seen are just too long for my taste, and detract from the wheel.

Haha! Fantastic collection of pictures for exactly what I've spent countless hours combing the internet for. From now on, when I get an idea, I'm coming to you first!

Agreed. Not much I've found that I'm stoked about. From your pics, I think the blue and red center cap wheel pics have the cleanest/minimalist options. Not too shabby. Happen to know the brands before I go searching?!

Two options I've come across... with the first being stupid expensive... but good looking!

MRG. Pretty easy to find them. I have a set of Racenseng on order and a set of IND steel set for when I'm racing on the way as well.

I just used the stock BMW lug nuts and wheel locks. I like the look better than studs.

Ahh, very nice. Which Raceseng style are you going with?

Other than their website, very few threads/reviews/pics of their stuff. Regardless, great looking and they've got me tempted.

Studs with brushed open-ended nuts with floating seats. If you got $1k to burn....that's it...

I don't know any of the names because I think they are all ugly.

I went with 2-piece BBS studs myself, as they keep the wheel finish from being marred by the lug seat. But I don't take my wheels on an off much, so it was the best option for me.

Got tired of waiting for my next set of e88s so I got a temporary set of wheels. Was able to source a silver set of BBS RIAs without waiting. I'm pretty happy with them so far.

New pic. High ISO, but no matter, it shows the wheels good, and the tire shoulder! These V601's are damn near perfect with regards to specs.

I like the lug nut switch you made. Perfect amount of contrast... and blends nicely with the BBS gold center cap.
