Wow... That would be my car. Rusnak sold one Blue (the other video you posted), and one Black (which I purchased).

Thats good you got the black one, they drilled the front bumper of the blue one. I wouldn't take the car.

That's pretty typical for them, tried to do something similar when I was shopping for my 2004 E46 M3, and I went "down the street" and got the car I wanted for under MSRP.

Century West BMW is asking $40k markup on their $61k car...making this the first $100k+ M2 I've seen.

There is a long list of cars I'd buy before buying an M2 for $100k.

That is just ridiculous! I too have many cars I would buy before buying an M2 at $100k!!!

You beat me to it. My buddy just called me to tell me about this. He popped in while out walking his dog and was floored by the mark up of this car. He has 135i vert.

This is their headline for the price gouging...I mean ad

"UNOBTANIUM! 2016 M2 IN LONG BEACH BLUE OVER BLACK DAKOTA LEATHER WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION!!"

The irony of this pricing is that the M2's greatest appeal is that it's a huge value...the performance is great for a $55-$60k car. But that value proposition vanishes well before $100k when compared to a lot of other cars. Just my opinion, of course, but I doubt I'm alone.

I was really excited about the prospect of this car, but the way it has been launched with BMW essentially letting dealers feed off some of BMWs most enthusiastic fans has been off-putting to say the least. Especially given this car could have served as an entry for many younger enthusiasts to buy into the brand and eventually transition to higher $$ (read: higher margin) cars, but instead it seems to be leaving a lot of people with a bad experience.

What's the reaction of a first time BMW prospect who reads an article praising the car, then wanders into a dealer like this, thinking he/she can be part of the M brand at the entry level...only to realize he/she has no chance? Good luck winning that person back, BMW.

BMW can't control what their dealers charge even if they wanted to, it doesn't work that way.

If you really want one of these cars and willing to look around a little bit you can find one at MSRP. If you're lazy and want to stroll into your local dealer in a major city and pluck one off the lot, probably not.

I found two on accident sitting on dealer lots a few months ago for MSRP. I ordered mine for MSRP in my home state as well and didn't start looking until July.

Could you put BMW of Mt Kisco (Mt Kisco, NY). My salesperson was Damian Lisotta. We had agreed on MSRP, then after they saw all the hype around the car they called me and said that they have adjusted the price (added $5,000) of the car according to the market pricing. I told them to kick rocks and took my business elsewhere.
