The date VIN decoder shows is the actual day of production completion.

Damn I hope mine doesn't take that long. Did you get MPE? I'm hoping to get mine before the US election... just in case the whole world goes to sh*t

Has nothing to do with MPE. If your car has to get on a train in Halifax, the timeline is about the same. CN Rail is a clusterf*ck in Halifax at all times.

In my case, my M2 got to Halifax on Oct. 12th...and it just got to my dealership tonight!! I had no port-installed accessories or rear diff replacement required....that was insanely fast! I am absolutely ecstatic....well except for the fact I got the shitty Contis.
They let me drive it around the parking lot, had the biggest grin on my face circling around the lot and I only got to use the first 2 gears haha. |

Theses days pass really fast, and are forgotten even faster once you get the car!

Vehicle Care Kit
Hey all
Does anyone know what is included in the Vehicle Care Kit? My Sales Rep told me it includes winter mats and some car cleaning stuff. I will be purchasing the M2 OEM winter mats, does anyone know if they are the OEM M2 winter mats that are included? I'm thinking of telling them I don't want it and just sourcing the OEM mats outside...although I would still probably have to purchase from the service counter as I haven't seen any reliable online vendors for the M2 OEMs. Any info appreciated. thanks. |

Thanks EX-MINI, $180? That's great, I will tell them to remove this and just get the standard winter mats alone. Thanks!

It's probably a specific "kit" from your dealer.
I think on my 228i they bundled a bunch of things into a line-item on the agreement, when I took delivery they had given me the winter mats, BMW air freshener, travel mug, keyrings, etc. If they're providing winter mats then they are almost certainly going to be the OEM mats but whether they're the "Performance Winter Mats" (i.e. gray & black - https://www.getbmwparts.com/partloca...gid=4462&tab=2) or the plainer black rubber mats is probably a question for your SA to clarify. When I finalize my M2 I'll try to avoid these add-ons, I may keep my current mats from my 228i or get different mats. |
