Finally in production!!!
After many months of scrambling to get an allocation, then getting an allocation in June I called the BMW number today and heard the magic words "your vehicle is in production with an anticipated completion date of September 13, 2016" . I stayed on the line to speak with a rep to see if I could get any additional information, he must have been new because he was not nearly as sharp as the ladies I normally speak with. After about a 5 minute hold he came back and gave me the VIN so the body is at least built. I doubt it will take from now to the 13th to complete the car. I will continue to post progress here. Hoping to make the boat that leaves port on the 21st of September so I can see my car around October 20th.
Can't wait |

They told me week 36 the first time I called. The second time a called which was a week or so ago they said week 37 but then said that those dates get moved around as they have capacity so it can get moved up or back a bit. Total production time is supposed to be about 4 days so I suspect it will be complete around September 4th. Not sure if they work weekends.

Production week coincides with end of production rather than start of production. So as a week 36, it would make sense that you started last week. It will likely finish production at the end of this week or very early next. Average production time has been about two weeks.

Correct me if I'm wrong..
But your vehicle went to status 150 - which basically means "No more changes". While they call it "Production Started", nothing has really happened other than BMW is lining up all the parts to coincide with production. My car entered "Production" aka status 150 on the 24th of August. It is a week 36 car due to be done on September 8th. It will next go to the body shop (151) and get its serial# assigned (and yes, I already have a VIN), then the paint shop (152), then the Entry assembly (153), then Assembly (154) and I forget the rest.
Long story short - status 150 sucks. The car is still a week or two away from being made and you can't change your mind on anything (like damn, should I be thinking BSM or stay with LBB)

For me, 150 was a relief! It ended the incessant flip-flopping I would do daily over my colour choice. I have to say, this forum, and the great pics of member cars had a lot to do with it

Same here! Just got status 150 today! My production week was week 40 and now I have week 38 on the screen shot!
Can any fellow east coast Canadian M2 owners tell me when I will get my car delivered?! |

I called the Genius number and spoke with some guy. He said my production started 8/26 and it would be done by 9/9. So about two weeks. Initially was told Week 37 so that's fine with me.
