Keep stock chrome exhaust tips? Black to match? Carbon?
UPDATE
I bought the f80 black chrome angled comp pack exhaust tips and installed them. Photos at bottom. Can a mod close the poll or someone tell me how to do it? UPDATED PICS OF NEW TIPS OLD ORIGINAL POST BELOW ---------------------------- Having trouble figuring out what I want to do for exhaust tips. Please help me with my first world problem. Options are: 1. Black exhaust tips to match some other dark bits, probably the M3 comp pack ones because they cheap! 2. Keep the chrome ones and leave as is. 3. Perhaps get some cheaper carbon tips, I see some cheaper ones, but the OEM ones are out of my price range. 4. Remove the black plate frame and the black M2 badge and replace with chrome to match the chrome stock tips. Currently on the car I have the black badge, black plate frame, CF spoiler, CF diffuser, and the chrome stock tips. I am worried the black comp pack tips will just get lost in the diffuser, but maybe the current chrome clash with the plate frame and badge? I am yet to come across a tip that looks better than OEM M performance tips. Looks amazing with CF diffuser! And the titanium on the inside turns blue after few thousand miles; it's dope!

Carbon exhaust tips are one of the dumbest fads out there right now. It looks ricey and retarded. Stay off the Tide pods and go with black. Simple. Classy. Doesn't shout "I eat Tide pods"

Anyway I thought maybe the carbon would look good because they're not as bright as chrome but not so dark that they get lost in the diffuser. I don't really care that they're carbon. I could just leave the chrome dirty as fuck, then they just look gray! I suppose there might be some matte gray ones or gun metal or something. |

I initially voted for black because of your badge and license plate frame. If you put the chrome license plate frame and badge back on the car the brushed silver cyba tips would be perfect. Last edited by AndrewC1989; 01-21-2018 at 04:53 PM.. |

Agreed. I like silver tips because you can see them really well, I just hate the stock one's. Theyre so small and dinky looking. The 90mm cyba tips are definitely a big upgrade. I have them and love 'em. Quality item.

Also agree - I got the black cyba tips and they're great! Although the brushed silver tips were a close second, they look amazing in that pic.

Excuse the dirty car (pic was taken in shop), but I went with the matte black exhaust tips from ActiveAutowerke which were not too expensive. Larger tips than oem, and they fit in well with the AW car and black / carbon accents. Sometimes I think about getting the SS tips to pop more, but I'm happy with the matte black. The chrome OEM are too dinky. Now that I look at it, I think I need a black M2 badge to finish the look.

Is that wing on backwards?? It looks odd in the first pic.

Do you mean the carbon spoiler in OP's 1st post? If so no that is the RKP spoiler. Here is mine
