Car isn't mine. The owner allows this to go public but didn't give full details. The first and the only 3rd party independent(kind of, more on that later) dyno result of VF HEX tune.

I was told:
1) Same dynojet. Different days. Ambient conditions are similar. Temp 60F/15C and humidity 70%.
2) 4th gear run, SAE correction.
3) Torque numbers are in NM. 1 lb*ft = 1.36NM.
4) Stock boost sees 15psi max, hex tune 18psi.
5) DIFFERENT FUEL - stock 95RON, HEX 100RON
6) Tune/mod/dyno were all done by VF dealer.

See more details below.

Red:
VF HEX stage 2
200 cell downpipe
Wagner Evo2 Comp Intercooler
Eventuri Intake
100RON (94-95AKI) = 98RON + Octane Booster

Blue:
Completely stock car on 95RON (91AKI)

Go to AIMPerformanceNJ find them on IG, I also know 2 other Dynojet in that same area unless you prefer NYC (VinnyTenRacing or RKTunes).

I uploaded a better quality dyno chart.

The dyno was run on a few months ago. It was much cooler days, no heat soak whatsoever. And on 98RON + Octane booster, yet power gains tapered to almost zero at redline.

Anyway you can get it to display Ft.Lb instead of Nm ?

I'm afraid I can't, I wasn't the one paying the tune and everything LOL.

It isn't that hard to convert, just deduct 1/4 NM number and you have lb*ft.

Sorry, I didn't get it. What kind of trouble am I introducing here by posting as I believe the first indenpendent (kind of) before and after dyno result globally of HEX tune for M2?
I am in no way affilicated with VF, heck, I am even using the tune from one of its greatest competitors...
Plus, I never heard VF is banned anywhere. What am I missing?

Sorry, my response came out a little wrong. Never said you were introducing any trouble. I agree first independent for them, but how did you find this ?

Saw they were banned a few days ago; a few reasons you can see for yourself in the F80 threads.

Not banned ... and actually here to clarify anything you'd like us to!

I don't believe this is the first independent dyno as I've seen a few others
floating around, namely the ones from Orange fever here:
http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1357283&highlight=HEX

One thing you'll notice if you do go check the F8X forums, our advertised
gains are typically on the conservative side and the majority of independent
results meet our exceed our own published dyno plots.

We have TWO in-house dynamometers which affords us the ability to test
and tune at a a very high level. Our goal is not to be the horsepower leader
as it's easy to produce impressive numbers under controlled circumstances,
but rather to engineer a consistent and repeatable product that delivers as
advertised.

Our advertised gains for Stage TWO are 50-60HP and 80-90Ft/Lbs.
The dyno plot in this thread above made 52HP Peak (68HP MAX @ 5,100rpm)
and 78TQ Peak (84TQ MAX @ 3,700rpm) on a dyno with less than adequate airflow.

The baseline of "Orange Fever" being 350+whp seems high for a stock m2 on AKI93, or probably the 91+E85 mix is underrated as ethanol is lighter and tend to separate and go to bottom of tank, given his initial 325whp on 91 looks legit.

Anyway the 40~50whp gain is solid and proven number. Thanks for investing time into tuning M2.

Yeah, it all leads to that my thread of dyno plot is the first "legit" before and after!

Absolutely, the results you shared are more appropriate for a true delta
even though there were performed on different days.

To be fair though:
His 91 Octane baseline result was 325HP and 389Ft/Lbs TQ.

He's posted a LOT of different plots with various fuel combinations which
makes things a little hard to follow. The takeaway is that the gains are
consistent with what's advertised even on various independent dynos.

I agree with this, the important thing is that the gains are there and people need to remember that the dyno is just a tool, the numbers are not the important part. It is the area under the curve and how broad the powerband is.

People are talking flash tunes and asking for dynograph proof these days.

Other than BM3, there is very little information on this. Since people seem to forget there is search button, I give this post a bump.
