And it's double the price. I'd take a GT3 over either, but neither the DB11 or Lexus are even trying to be sporty.

WTF does a GT3 have to do with an Aston or Lexus, not even in the same damn category.

I just drove one and yea, it may not run a speedo in 4 seconds but it does have some pickup and is fun to drive. Beautiful to boot.

It just splits the price difference. My point was that the DB11 isn't really comparable to the LC in terms of price.

An SL550 is about the nearest competitor and it's a pretty different car, and violently ugly.

I think a lot of people forget what this car is suppose to be. It's a GT car, not a pure sports car.

Almost like saying why do people buy Bentley GT's its a 5k+ lb coupe. Might not be the fastest thing on the road but it does the GT thing well. Hell... it out performs a Maserati granturismo and has a better interior IMO. Then again I had one so its just an opinion.

Same thing for the LC, even though its a coupe and has exotic / sports car styling it wasnt made for pure performance. Need to compare apples to apples. Its a capable car when it needs to be but its no 911.

Plus the pure v8 / exhaust note is intoxicating.

The first one I ever saw. It caused quite a commotion at the restaurant that day.
Beautiful!

I was impressed look wise; until i got in one and drove it. Just not what i expected; then again i was comparing to the LFA and expecting something similar in the AWE factor.

Really just looked like a real cheap version of the LFA interior along with cheap version of the LFA performance.

Actually i guess that's exactly what the LC500 is; the 'Toyota'd version of the LFA.

Maybe I cant wrap my head around the argument that the interior of the LC500 is not as good. Ive had my fair share of BMW's and honestly the interiors on all the models (excluding the alpinas) have been lacking A LOT before this year.

Everywhere in the LC is alcantara, aluminum, glass or leather and I mean everywhere even in the foot wells. I think the only hard plastic I have sits within my center storage space only. Then again I didnt buy this car to have the fastest 0-60 times or to brag about what it laps the nurburgring ring in, I have other cars for that.

overall sound and steering feel; not only do you feel the weight but in my opinion everything felt very artificial from steering to gas pedal feel. While the LFA was very touchy; i mean i know this is a tune thing but both were in stock form. Even the exhaust note of the two there's no comparison.

Yeah, it's a shame that a 718 doesn't sound quite as nice as a Carrera GT too.

I must be the only one that got that irony in that statement. Thought we were comparing interiors then he started comparing driving / exhaust notes from a 400k super car with a v10 to a 100k-120k GT V8.

sorry i'll fix it; for an NA V8 it sounds like shit when compared to a non Z06 Vette. Even though technically it would pair up even to the Z06 price wise; even the GT350 sound hell of a lot better.

So a smooth, refined and pretty subdued engine in a GT doesn't sound as rorty or coarse as a pushrod in a sports car or a flat plane in a pony car? The wonders never cease.

News at 11, Bentley W12 no where near as loud as an 812 SF! Different goals entirely. Methinks you haven't considered that the LFA is more of an SL550 competitor and not an actual sports car.

Yesh, not sure where to start on this post. You are comparing sounds from a pushrod V8 (LS engine), Flat plane v8 (Voodoo engine), and a 2UR-GSE engine which has been in use since 09 in the original ISF.

If you want my honest to god answer the GT350 has the best sounding engine out of the bunch just because of the flat plane. The LS motors compared to the 2UR-GSE have more bass and burble not my cup of tea but thats just an opinion.

Then again... you have a s55 motor... cant really complain about exhaust notes LOL

Well of course. I think hardly anyone will argue that the LC500 sounds better, or drives better than the LFA. I’m sure it doesn’t. The LC500 may have been inspired by the LFA to some extent, but they’re ultimately two very different cars. You cannot have the same expectations of a GT car as you would an all out performance machine. The LC500 should really be compared to something like a 6 series or an S class. When you make that comparison which I think is the appropriate one, it’s refreshing to have something like an LC500 available. Especially when you consider a N/A V8 is available in a world where N/A are a dying breed. Sounds damn good, too. Would never expect the sound it produces coming from something with a Lexus badge.

What I was really arguing against was your claim that the LC500 is a cheaped out LFA with a cheaper interior. I disagree with this. Interior is damn nice, even for the price
