Torn bead, damaged fender... Who to blame
I was at the track yesterday, first time with Hoosier tires in my M2 and suddenly I hear some weird noise. After exiting the track y find out that my front tire has a torn bead that’s produced some cosmetic damage to my fender and panel.
Now I’m trying to figure out who is guilty, Hoosier? Tire Rack? Tire mounting shop? Or me because I did not do the proper break inn to the tires. Tire pressure at the time if the incident was 29 Psi Let me know what you think went wrong |

Sounds like your tire pressure was very low.

Low pressure does not do this. The bead was most likely torn during install and centrifugal force took over from there.
