The M2 is a great looking car and has a great stance. How a car looks is subjective and that is ok. I think the M2 looks better than the RS3 and TTRS. I like the interior of the TT RS more than the M2 and RS3. Audi's blend in more and I like that. I also like AWD and I think the TTRS/RS3 are great daily drivers. The TTRS is not slow at all and although it doesn't handle as well as a GT4, it is more than adequate for public roads.

Yeah, 3.6s/11.6s @ 117 is fast and in a different league (and price bracket) than the RS3 and M2. That said, I'd take a 718S over the TTRS, let alone that GT4. Awesome car. Porsche hit a homerun with that model. Perfect dimensions and aesthetic aggressiveness. I hear it drives kinda good too.

Thank you. The GT4 is definitely better than the TTRS. The article is from the latest car and driver and I know it is just one test, but the TTRS didn't do too bad. 3.2 to 60 and 11.6 @119 at the 1/4 is decent enough to merge with traffic. It also pulled more g on the skid pad @1.05 compared to the 718s. I didn't think that would happen. The TTRS and RS3 aren't perfect, but I just wanted to point out that they aren't complete junk.

^A (almost) 3 second gap on a ~2 minute course is an eternity. That time difference at 10\10 driving certainly translates to a more enjoyable spirited drive on back streets/B roads for M2 drivers.

A new definition of INSANITY:

My local Audi dealer just received an RS3 with an MSRP of $70,675 (no dealer add-ons or ADM).

That is not really insanity, considering they compete with the M2. My local dealer has two M2's for $80-82K MSRP (no ADM) just a lot of extra "fluff" options. Don't forget, you can spec the RS3 with exclusive paint ($4K). You cannot order an individual M2.

Both of those BMWs are listed with a ton of dealer add-ons, according to the dealer. I'm talking about an RS3 that had an MSRP of more than $70K.

It's possible but you have to tick every option box. Those cars have much more options than the M2 in North America.

Well according to many Audi sales reps, RS models are more special than M and AMG models.

Congrats on your M2 L. I got one also

That isn't wrong.

I was at an Audi dealership and one of the CAs told me they believe the S3 (not RS3) competitor for AMG was the C45 AMG, which was pretty wrong but I didn't want to be a know it all so I dropped it.

I like the RS3, I just don't like the fact that the pricetag can go beyond a reasonably priced M3 or even a very bare C63.

The RS3 is just a BOSS of a car! Shows no mercy!
I think you just convinced me to check out the RS3 for a new car over the M2 Competition. I'm on two dealer lists down here, and I had no idea that little RS3 was such a monster. Definitely going to go test drive it within the next week or two.

There appears to be a ton of bias on this forum, but I personally think it looks like the more attractive car too.

It definitely seems like a worthy competitor to check out with so much power potential. Please report after you test drive!

Checkout Malaka Motorsports on YouTube with their project RS3.

The new Competition M2 with the S55 M3/4 motor coming out is going to be a monster as well and will be faster than the latest M3 and M4 so you will have a tough choice.

BMW’s figures say the M2C will only be a tenth of a second faster than the M2 from 0-62 (0-100 kph). The RS3 will still eat the M2C alive in a straight line.

Interesting but what about to 100 plus mph? Will be interesting to see when they come out with test comparisons on the new M2C and the RS3 when the new M2 comes out.

As a former RS owner (B7 RS4), the new RS cars simply don’t check the “aggressive” body style changes that made the previous versions so desirable. The TTRS is fine, but not really a car I’d consider for DD, and I was so excited to hear the RS3 was coming - then bummed it was a sedan only - but was still ready to put it on the list. But now that I’ve seen it in person it simply looks too much like the S3. Waiting to see the RS5, but pics online aren’t very promising.

The RS5 looks like an S5 ... or an A5, just like the RS3 looks like an S3 ... or an A3. Of course, there are some cosmetic and interior changes, but at first glance it's hard to tell which model you're looking at.

I quite like the RS3 but lack of a manual gearbox means I will never purchase.
