I dumped my Conti's for the 4s and it has been a great upgrade. The Conti's suck but I can say that the BMW School is using the new Conti Sport Extremes and they are very consistent on the track, did the advanced M school a few weeks ago and came away very impressed with how those tires held up to the torture we put them through. Had tire temps over 200 degrees Fahrenheit and they still were pretty solid. I think we were all surprised, the instructors said that the Michelin PSS will deliver better track times but they are not as consistent as the new Contis. They didn't have much experience with the 4S so they didn't have a comparison. I will be tracking my M2 soon so I will see first hand.

Wow - that's awful. However, by the looks of the treadwear bars, you were down quite a ways. How many total miles on this set?

Realistically, don't think anyone can expect more than about 12k-17k miles with spirited driving and a couple of track days thrown in.

Bone stock. Track rims just arrived and suspension camber work scheduled.

Stock camber is way too mild for track.

Pilot Super Sports

MPSS aren't a whole lot better. These have 4k miles on them and 5 tracks days. Bone stock suspension.

Looks like a little too much heat, and you then asked for more.

The MPSS and the conti are not very good as a dedicated track tire. The Michelins break down very quickly under 80-90 plus ambient temps experienced in the south and southwest on a typical track day.

Camber plates are also a necessory

My Conti's were done in 8k miles with only about 7 track days.
