HRE FF04 19'' tire sizes

Hi guys,

Here up in North, winter was brutal (guess same to north eatern side of US as well) past few months, but finally weather is getting warmer thus getting excited for rolling sticky rubbers with decent wheels.

I recently have purchased HRE FF04 19'' front and rear but still have not decided what sizes of tire to go with.

Wheels are 19X9J ET20 front/ 19X10J ET35 rear. As the wheels have more concavity with smaller positive offset compared to stock 437M wheels (ET29 front/ ET40 rear), I dont know if larger width lower profile will fit on these HRE wheels.

If there is anyone out there have either HRE FF01 or FF04 in 19''s, could you please advise on sizes of the widest tires in 30 % sidewall profile? I wish that I can fit 275/30/19 front, 295/30/19 rear...

Hope to hear some feedback.

Thanks in advance.

With 30 profile? That would make wheel+tires too small in diameter i think.

Should be fine with 255/35/19 and 275/35/19. Your wheels are the same width as stock wheels and your offsets are basically the stock wheels with a 10mm spacer in front and 5mm spacer in the rear.

Actual fitment will depend on the actual tire model you get because a 255 for a Michelin P4s and a 255 in a Toyo R888 for example is not the same width.

Yeah track focused Toyo R888 and MP cup 2 are larger in width compare to other summer performance tires with same size spec. That being said, I dont think it would bring much trouble for have 10 mm fron and the back wider. spacers will be putting wheels to bulge out. Smaller offset ET means that they are more buldge out to the outer fender, spacer will not help to solve the issue as they will result in even lower + offset not giving great + offset.

Spacer gives exra stress on bear rings and ball joints.

And I was asking for the largest width for lower 30% sidewall profile not stock 35 %... But thanks for your comment.

Just wondering if I can go with 255/30/19 and 295/30/19 set up with these wheels... Struggling... Maybe I should keep it as stock sizes or 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 as other posts said..

I'm just keeping the OEM size on my FF04s. I figured I'd run out the Contis. And this way, I can mount up the OEM size and see how the fitment looks, then judge whether I can go up a bit on width for the next set of tires.

I am gonna try 255/35/19 F + 275/35/19 R for now.
Wish I can go wider front and rear with 30 profile, but do not want to risk too much. I will keep you posted with result with 10mm wider sizes from stock sizes (which is same as M3/M4 437M sizes) see if I will have more room to go up higher.

I am also in plan to lower the car with Ohlins that was why I wanted go with 30 profile that will give smaller in diameter wheel+tires total giving more room to probable +0.5 inch lower than recommended....

If there is anyone else out there with 19'' FF04 with wider tire sizes let us know! Two are waiting to hear any feedback here

Just PMed HRE_Wheels, and they said the recommended size settings are "245/35/19 F, 265/35/19 R" which is exactly the same as stock sizes. And also mentioned that I can try to go more aggressive but said that they cannot guarantee if it will be safe or not.....

What size tires did you end up going with?
