Caliper Clearance 18"

I will soon be in the market for some track wheels, 18 inch.

I have seen the ad from Tire Rack and Apex. Thank you TR and Apex.

Will any 18s clear the calipers?

Thank you.

18” Apex EC-7, FL-5, and SM-10 work well. The 18” EC-7 even clears my AP Factory 378x36mm BBK.

I started with a set of the TR 18” wheels. Had to trash them after 10 track days. They warped from not being strong enough.

My Apex’s are holding up well.

Oh, are you guys using you existing TPMS or replaced with new ones or just plain deleted?

If I do get new ones are they P&P?

Some guys do, some guys don’t. Take a look in the track section of the forum for more info.

You can use your existing TPMS or purchase new sensors, all you will need to do is have them installed on the wheels, then run the TPMS reset procedure in your idrive.

This is a relatively simple process. You'll just start the reset once the new wheels and TPMS are installed on the car, drive for about a mile or so and the car will recognize each sensor. Once this is complete, you are all set!

Check out Titan 7 forge wheels. I didn't know about them until I talked to Vivid Racing about wheels to clear my AP 9668 calipers.

At 1880 for a set, not a bad price for forge wheels. Talked to guys with AP and half said Apex Arc 8 18x9.5 ET22 will fit the AP and half said it doesn't. Guess I'll test fit them once the AP installed and find out.
