Could be that but I have seen only one F80 M3 and one M4 in my neighborhood so far. E90/2 M3 was more frequent. However, 911s are all over the place and even Cayman is becoming more popular. Clearly, enthusiasts are switching to P. I have seen it over the last 12 mo on track and on the street. The most common gripe from the new P owners is the M3's size and weight. There is a review in the latest Roundel (!!!!!) of the 911 GTS 50th anniversary by the former BMW enthusiast and at the end of the article he summarizes why he decided to spend 100K on the car. Talk about free commercial and a kick in the ass.

So the X4 M40i was supposed to start production December 2015, has that also been moved up? or maybe now pushed back as they will need the engines for the M2.

I don't think it will either - but once you add LED lights and some 19s, I'm sure you will be in that range.

I have no axe to grind, but I'm not really seeing what everyone is getting so excited for. I mean a 3,300-3,400 curb weight (not too different from the M3/4) and a tuned N55... and they put M badges on these things now?

The very first ones will be delivered in late February or early March - at least in the US that's how it worked for the 235.

M badges everywhere now, in a few years there will be one in each bmw placed somewhere.
I expect the price difference between the m235 and m2 will be enough that you can tune the hell out the m235 and then some

So M2 will have 265ish HP with a tuned N55 and then a new engine for the M240i with around 260HP...ok whatever BMW, Im sick of your game
