Michelin PS 4 tires.

Had the Super Sports that came w/ the car (6500 miles on them when I changed them out) - did *not* like how they handled in the rain i.e. hydroplaning.

I *did* trade an AWD Subura WRX in on the M2 which handled the rain superbly.

But I can tell you after driving in the rain w/ the PS 4's on the M2 - a great improvement - no question and a big Thanks to Rudy at the TireRack for his help.

I have been using the 4s for over 20,000 miles, they are fantastic in all conditions and wear amazingly well.

Lost the M2 tire lottery and got the terrible Conti's, I have driven the M2 quite a bit on the Super Sports and new Conti Extreme Sport (both at M schools) and the 4S is a substantial improvement on all of those tires and wear better than any of them in daily conditions, i suspect also in track conditions.

After putting ~10 track days and 5000 total miles on the factory SS’s, got a set of 4S yesterday. The SS’s were really chewed up.

I’m looking forward to seeing how this set turns out. I won’t be putting any track time on these as I’ve got a dedicated set of FL-5s and RE-71s for track duty.

I have driven the M2 with Super Sports, the new Conti Extreme Sport and the 4s on track. The first two at Thermal for 2 Day M and Advanced M. The 4s is superior in turn in and braking stability, substantially so. Motor Trend has a long term M2 and Randy Pobst spoke about the difference and had a faster lap time with the 4s, he put it down to stability under braking. I have recently been tracking with the Cup2 which is on a whole different level for braking but if I was tracking occasionally I would have no problem using the 4s

For the money the new Conti Extreme Sports are very consistent when hot. I prefer them to the super sports actually.

I just put new 4S (275/255) replacing the stock Michelins. Did a track day on Friday and these blew my mind how good they are. I have not much track experience in general but I ran about 5 track days with the stock ones and the 4S were so much better. I did not imagine I would feel the difference this much.
