I tried getting an anti Roll bar from Schmiedmann but FedEx lost the part and the customer service at Schmiedmann was miserable (long story for another posting) so I’m looking for a North American supplier and would appreciate any advice.

Curious why you feel you need an upgrade. I ask because I'm considering this. Seems like if you want more oversteer than you currently have then stiffening the front bar would be a good upgrade. On track I don't think the car oversteers much. If anything I need to use the throttle. I can dive into a corner pretty aggressively and not worry about the rear snapping around. I'm on stock suspension, so your setup might be different.

I've since installed Vorshlag camber plates, running a moderate -2.5 degs. Next going on is replacing the OEM EDC shocks/struts with Bilstein B6 EDC units. I will run stock springs to retain the ride height. Not worth clipping the CF spoiler. Last edited by bdogk; 06-06-2023 at 04:57 PM.. |

Curious if it would afford running slightly less camber on track due to less "roll over", and therefore a more street friendly camber number could work. Will try to figure out how much camber I can run on the street and still get good life out of the tires.

It seems h&r have manufactured a specific model for csr, the h&r for f87 are different.

I was running about -2.9deg with the CSR bar on stock springs/dampers. I didn't feel like I needed more.

The CSR bars are in fact made by H&R.
The H&R bars are 30mmF/25mmR solid bars with 2 hole adjustability. I have the Whiteline version which are similarly 30mmF/26mmR solid bars although they have 3 hole adjustability. I’m currently on H&R supersport springs & Bilstein B6 dampers plus a couple of other trick bits & pieces. With 2.2 F neg camber, wear on my road tires is pretty good & the contact patch/grip on my track semis is also ok. I have a dedicated track car for serious competition use thus the M2 is setup to be more road friendly. It’s all a balancing act depending on your intended usage & obviously no single combination suits everyone.

Thanks guys, all the info has been very helpful, I ended up getting an H&R antisway bar from a Canadian company, partsengine.ca, of course, they’re getting it out of the US but the pricing was really good…$658.00 Canadian including shipping and taxes.,

I have yet to wear through those tires (RS4). Wear was good with that setup and I wasn't looking to change it if I stayed with it.

IMHO, bars are the last thing to change on suspension, and should be used for running front to rear balance. If you are experiencing too much roll or want more responsiveness, springs or could will be more useful.
Now, the counter argument is bars are much cheaper and more easily reversible mod, which is totally valid. It's a personal choice. |

Guys, I need some advise about ARBs.
I don’t want to use just the front because of the understeer that it might induce, so I was about to order the H&R set. I have a new set of true coilover rear suspension on the way though and I’ve just heard that H&R rear sway bar touches the spring on compression when you have rear coilovers. Anyone here running true coilover rear with ARBs? Maybe can tell me which manufacturer. |
