M235i Brake Pads for M2?
Hi everyone, would it be safe to assume that brake pads listed under M235i would be fine to use on an M2? It seems that all these auto parts stores list nearly nothing for 2016-2018 M2 but have a lot more available for the M235i/M235xi. I understand the rotors are a different size but are the calipers identical?
TIA

I doubt it, if the rotors are bigger then the pads may be a different shape. Many x35/x40 owners upgrade to M3/4 pads so I presume there is a difference in compound but they may fit.

Different part numbers, so I'd say no. Even if they fit I would not use them as you have no idea what unintended consequences could occur doing so. Not worth risking safety.

FWIW I came across this link for the PFC brake pads on HPA shop that says it's the same for the F2x, F3x, F8x with the M sport (non carbon ceramic) calipers
