Painted the cans on my E92 when I still had the stock exhaust and it helped tremendously. But this is even more ridiculous. Will need 2-3 cans of high temp paint to cover that giant surface area

what the heck is this world coming to? It's darn shame that big discs don't equal big heat sinks for heat dissipation anymore. Thanks for updating us on the change in the laws of physics..

So let me get this straight.... BMW is making a car with only slightly more HP, it is gonna have a heavier engine, heavier brakes, heavier exhaust system, uglier headlights, no CF roof and no M mirrors, probably be super expensive and impossible to get without a huge dealer markup......NO THANKS, I'LL PASS!

You can't have it both ways. If it is built the way enthusiasts want it, it will be super expensive and in limited quantities. If it is only a slight upgrade it will be affordable but there will be much unhappiness.

Which way will BMW go?

Well hello there. I keep swearing I'm going back to naturally aspirated with my next car but damn the LCI/CS options look like they have real potential.

Happy to see they are in the testing process. Something definitely has to be done with the exhaust, because it looks ridiculous. Hoping for an improved interior (HUD please?) and at least a bit lighter than the standard M2. Also hope they price this reasonably (<$70K) especially when you consider the competition (RS3, 1LE, GT350, ect.)

Looking good so far!

I would add Carbon Ceramic Brakes if they offer it. The waiting begins!

I'm quite certain that if I drove that car it would cause my wang to elongate to its fullest extent. Thus, causing interference with my ability to steer. Finally resulting in a crash, but with an enormous smile on my face. The end.

They'll de-tune it then charge $3,000 to re tune it back to what it normally was.

Hold your horses. It was noticed that the M2 test mule lapping the Nürburgring in September 2016 did not feature the M2 front mount intercooler. Tell-tale sign that there was no N55 under the hood, but likely sporting the S55 engine: http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...3#post20663013

BMW may eventually be interested to read what's sometimes posted about their test mules. Anyways, the BMW camo team are masters of disguise: easy-peasy to fit a 'dummy intercooler' box to fool the audience.

So, yes, this intercooler shaped object behind the front bumper can be just a plate or empty box.
