Depends on your ISTEP version.

Old versions show the 5. Newer versions show a 2.

It's an easy fix if you have the 5series, just have bmw update your software and then recode the car.

3012 EAH > EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS > Custom Value > 0x00, 0x00

Note: The 0x64 byte entry is how far back the seat will go and it is equal to 100mm. You can change that 64 to something higher or lower to suit your personal needs.

Keep in mind I have NOT tried or tested this myself but others have done it on ESYS and it seems to have worked for them:

I checked with the bimmerlink app and noticed i had a bunch under 'error memory' and 'info memory' but cleared them. Didn't have any under 'permanent errors'. Will see if they come back next time I start the car. Wondering if this could be a potential issue at the dealer. Don't want to be raising any red flags. I've had a few dealer visits for oil changes etc and it's never been brought up besides the one time I went in because I had accidentally deactivated rev match and couldn't get it back on. I had told them I coded and they let it slide and fixed it for free anyway. Either way I'd rather not have any errors.

Interesting thing is i'm told that coding with esys doesn't cause any errors to show.

I would email them: info@bimmercodeapp.de and see what they have to say about it.

I was hoping the easy seat entry was coded in the easy mode eventually. Same with the Rear Fog light enable.

I tried coding the mirrors to fold with comfort access and they recode but would not fold with CA. Tried it 3 times. Also coded for video in motion, my USB was already active and I tried both with and without additional codecs. A DVD in my player wouldn't recognize either format I used, mp4 and mkv. The title of the MP4 file I tried in the thumb drive showed up on the screen but wouldn't play. Not too impressed yet.

You can do the tail light coding for sure. I did it myself, worked great.

All of the 3061 stuff you can do in easy mode.

The 3062 voltage changes you'll have to do in expert mode.

Not sure if you can do cluster swap coding via bimmercode. My guess is you can. I don't have the coding for that though so I can't check for you.

Interesting. I'm not sure what to think about that. Perhaps it's normal? With esys it's a much more complex process to avoid this sort of thing. Again, not concerned with the codes being there themselves but curious if it's a problem during dealer visits under warranty...

Emailed Stephan - the Android app currently doesn't allow for custom value entry.
