Yup, those are the pictures I saw posted in other threads.

Interesting info about the rear setup:
Quote:
Forum fellow lemetier pointed out that those are Fxx M5/6 fronts (400mm) and a unique hybrid rear setup. The 4 piston rear caliper comes from the F8x M3/4 MCCB, disc friction ring is M5/6 sized (395mm), and disc hat (with incorporated handbrake drum) is new, he commented.

Highly doubt they will be 18" friendly. You can see the minimal caliper clearance with the 19" M2 wheel vs the 20" M5 wheel.
Many other models also offer 2NH as an option. For instance, here's the pricing guide for the 2018 5 series where you'll see 2NH as a $650 option. I too was wondering about having 18" wheel setup with the upgraded brakes. I went on realoem about a month ago and did a little searching. I believe I saw 18" OEM wheels for 5-series as well as other models that had the 2NH option so my guess is yes, it's doable.

2NH from G30 would be a downgrade, doesn't make sense. Smaller rotors than base M2, same piston count. Is the 2NH the same configuration on other models, for instance the 7 series? The pic of the M2 mule looks nothing like 2NH from other models, the 19 wheel looks like it has minimal clearance.

That's interesting, TBH never bothered to look at the rotor size thinking 2NH was the same option used across all models. Seems like it varies from car to car.

So far the pre-series M2 Competition VIN build sheets are over 500 pages for 136 cars. Inevitably lots of combinations. I recalled having seen exactly one specimen featuring winter wheels indicated somewhere at the end of a build sheet.

Looked it up. My memory didn't fail me: it's WBS2U71080VB08420. A EUR spec 6MT BSM specimen built on Nov 15, 2017. And indeed the only one that got Winter wheels. No size indicated, but likely 18".

And the good news: that specimen also got the 2NH option (M sport brakes):

Yeah. For instance, the F30 2NH has 370x30mm front rotors, while the G30 2NH has 374x36mm front rotors. Both using a 4 piston caliper. Current M2 is sporting 380x30mm front rotors with 4 piston calipers.

Nice find, good news 18’s fit with brake upgrade. Now I am even more confused what this brake upgrade could consist of.

maybe - if M2/M2Comp backingplate/dustshield is the same dia -given that dia is bigger than rotors in all pictures - then its likely that M2Comp brakes could work with 18"'s....

How do we know the winter wheel option on the car was 18" and not 19" ?

Did some more digging, the M4's carbon ceramic brakes measure 400x38mm and the 18" wheels offered for it are not compatible with the CCB. Being that the standard brakes measure 380x30mm it's not looking good for 18's.

I know.

Maybe there will be a small leak of some sort before April 25th...otherwise it's going to be very boring in here.

I am driving my lady nuts too - we saw a white M2 yesterday and I was driving all around it, telling her what we thought was going to change, and she's like "I know all this shit already, you don't have to tell me again!"
