Question How the heck do I clean THIS?

If you're reading this forum, you like to keep your car clean..I'm not crazy but like it super clean and like when it truly is.

Here's something I've been unable to clean.

IT seems an unfortunate little spider got into my middle \ 3rd brake light and never found his way out. He used to be a touch more noticeable, but the sun did a pretty good bleach job on his carcass.

Any clue how I can get this guy out and give him a proper burial?

It "bugs" me every time I notice it. Sorry. Had to.

I had this problem in my last car. Stuck a body panel separator into one side, and the straw from a can of compressed air in the other. (I don't believe these are sealed on the M2's either)

I didn't have any canned air, but I have a nice wide trim tool and a vacuum. That combo did the trick. No more dried out spider.

The shroud is actually 2 pieces, the part touching the glass being soft rubber, making this pretty easy.

Thanks for the tip.

I think that this should actually be super-easy to fix: the plastic cover around the third brake light just pops off: when I was having my M2 tinted, the installer removed the cover so that he could tint the entire glass area (and not cut around the 3rd brake light). I'd say it must be fairly easy to do otherwise he'd have taken the cut-around approach ... I saw the cover off while he was installing, and it looked to be a simple process to remove it.

I'm not a professional tinter, and haven't tried removing it myself ... so if you're not comfortable in removing the cover you could always ask a tinter how they do it. Or take a look at one of the Youtube videos on fixing the 3rd brake light - I found this one for an E92 3-Series which would probably work.

My wife has one in her headlight and tail-light, both bleached out. Still cant figure out how to get them unless I completely remove the lights.
