Wireless Charger
Does anyone if the wireless charging dock can be ordered within the United States? I've seen many from overseas and don't mind going that route. It would just alleviate dealing with customs and import fees.
Thanks in advance and remember, Only you can prevent forest fires!! |

Are you talking about the factory thing in the armrest?
The part number should be on realOEM and is installed in NAR-spec cars so dealerships should be able to order it for you. You don't want it though, it sucks. having to open the damn armrest every time you get in and out of the car just to add/remove your phone... screw that noise.

I agree somewhat. I mainly wanted it so my wife and I could charge our phones without running cables out of the console. It has to be better than the snap in adapter I have now for sure. At least I can fit the phone in with my case.

Heh, the 2018 has a USB in front of the cupholder plus one in the armrest, so if I ever needed to deal with two phones I'd already be set... But for charging-only, I'd probably just stick a 2-port charger in the lighter socket in front of the cupholder.

I don't remember the option code, but it was the "extended telephony" option in Canada. If 6NW is that, then you got it. Works ok. I have an S6 Edge with a Otterbox case and it fits just fine. I don't know yet if it charges faster than simply using a USB cable, but at least there are no cords (which triggers my OCD)...only thing is that you need to remember to take your phone out when you get out of the car!! lol...out of sight...out of mind

Same here... that's why I have a proclip mount and a proclip charging cradle. It's nice and visible and I'm in the habit of using them from the past two cars so it's second nature now. Get in car, phone goes in cradle, seatbelt goes on, car gets started. Stop car, unbuckle, grab phone, open door.

My '17 has it. It would be great with the exception that it doesn't fit an iphone 8+. The plastic holder is just too small for it. Real bummer.
