Stock Ride Height

Could you guys provide some front and rear measurements? It would be great to see a couple responses for confirmation.

I believe the correct way to do this is center of the wheel to the top of the wheel arch. Also, from floor to top of the wheel arch on OE tires would be great to know, as well.

I forgot to measure this before I changed my suspension.

Thank you!

I put it on my to-do list. I'll be getting mine back in a week or so, then it's going in for coilovers soon after, so I wanted to get a before/after measurement anyway.

I can do center wheel cap to fender arch, can't do OEM tires. Even though I still have the OEM tires mounted on the OEM wheels, I don't have them mounted on my car and it's too much work to mount them.

AFAIK, F87 M2 OEM stock ride height (OEM suspension, wheels, tires, tire-pressure and of course without shipping blocks):
  • front wheels: 612mm ("series") and 622mm ("bad-road package") (see here);
  • rear wheels: 615mm ("series" + "bad-road package") (see here).
F87 M2 M Performance coilover suspension ride height:
  • front wheels: 574mm (18") and 595mm (19"), with bump travel extended by 10mm (see here, pages 6 and 15);
  • rear wheels: 579mm (18") and 600mm (19"), with bump travel extended by 10mm (see here, pages 7 and 16).
The height of M2 and M2C are identical (1410mm), but the ground clearance differs (123mm for the M2 versus 118mm for the M2C = 5mm difference).

About ground clearance: compare the minor design differences between M2 and M2C below:
