UK M2 - stance sorted c/o MP coilovers

Big hand to Paul Martins and his team at Cooper Banstead. Paul is soon moving to a new role at Vines Redhill - top guy to deal with.

Needs 500-1000miles to settle the new parts in fully but initial impressions are good and I'm a happy chap.

Stock Black M2 at dealership by way of comparison...

Can definitely see the difference in the front, but that back still looks close to stock (to my eye)...is the back expected to settle more than the front?

Uh I know that people think there is settling and but that’s barely lowered. I had mine lowered from factory and there’s no gap in the back and it’s the same height as it was when it was lowered.

My back looks similar to ur front

I’ve checked mine - rear height is as per BMW installation instructions (19” alloys - 600mm) and still have adjustment to go lower if I choose to.

If set lower to start with then settling effects should be less as springs are in more compression and yr rear may well be sitting on the bumpstops.

Update:-

The car has now fully settled on the MP c/overs and been back into BMW for re-tweaking/KDS re-check. Photo below during a ~350 mile round trip to Great Yarmouth yesterday for business meetings. Ride height is as per BMW specs F&R 595mm/600mm between wheel arch at 12 o'clock and wheel rim at 6 o'clock.

Anyone thinking of upgrading suspension but on the fence about MP c/overs - get it done - superb. Comfortable and so much fun. Went off piste on some cracking A&B roads and ended up Audi-baiting - 1st R8 4.2 then a TTRS....

There and back on a brimmed tank of fuel and the light came on about 10miles from home - who says M2 can't hack it as a DD ???

Could you take some pictures of where the spring platforms are to get that ride height?

TIA
