Brake Fluid Question

I'm going to be swapping out the brake lines for SS and also replacing pads with Akebonos. I purchased 1000ml of RBF 600 is that enough to do the lines and flush? Or will I need more?

That should probably be enough, the last time I removed my calipers I followed FaRKle!'s advice and kept the brake pedal depressed and found I didn't really experience any dripping/gravity bleeding so that would help avoid introducing air into the middle of the system.

If you end up wanting to run a DSC bleed procedure too (if you don't end up with air in the system then I'd skip it), then you probably will want more fluid.

Having said that, I generally try to keep a few bottles of RBF600 on my shelves during the track season so I don't have to worry while bleeding. Until the bottles have the foil seal broken they're good to sit the shelf for a while. I usually go through ~1-2 bottles during the season with bleeds between a few track days.

We suggest three 1/2 liter bottles to be on the safe side for a complete flush.
