DrAnzo2.0's M2 Build
Today I finally picked up my 2018 LBB M2 in 6-Speed Manual with Executive Package from William at Bloomfield BMW in NJ. I placed my deposit on October 23rd, and received my M2 67 days later on December 29th. After delivery I drove the M2 over to Phil at Detailer's Domain for new-car prep and PPF. I asked the dealer to keep all of the protective plastics intact, and to NOT touch the car. Luckily they complied. I'm extremely happy with my decision to chose Phil to do my PPF... he is the REAL DEAL! I can't wait to see the car all cleaned up.
So far I have ordered the following parts: M Performance Black Kidney Grills & Side Grills, IND color-matched front reflectors, and Acexxon rear reflector horizontal slat inserts. For winter wheels I have ordered APEX EC-7 18x9 ET31 wheels in Anthracite paired with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4's (245/40/R18). Last edited by DrAnzo2.0; 01-01-2018 at 11:35 AM.. |

I’ve been busy with my M2 build and have multiple updates for you guys. These are some of the pics taken by Phil at Detailer’s Domain of the car getting Suntech PPF from early January... some of the areas need to be touched up, but Phil is going to take care of it during a follow-up appointment:

I then brought my M2 to Shades of Gray in PA for some tint. Ended up going with 30% Pinnacle Formula One ceramic tint. Initially the areas around the dot matrix didn’t look great, but it has improved now that it’s dried out, etc. I was also worried it looked too dark, but I’m used to it by now.

I then received my APEX winter wheels and Michelin Pilot Aplin PA4’s. Local tire place slightly damaged one of the wheels near the center cap during the mount/balance, but I think I found a paint pen from Duplicolor that will work.

Finally got around to installing the Acexxon reflector deletes. Install was a true PITA, but they look nice once fitted.

Yesterday I had TySpeed install my FabSpeed SportCat supplied by Mike at X-PH, and I flashed my car with the VF HEX Stage 2 tune. Now the car really rips. I’m waiting on a CSF Intercooler and ER chargepipe to be delivered. It’s like 30 degrees out right now, so I think I’ll be ok running stage 2 without and intercooler temporarily.

Today I installed CYBA brushed exhaust tips. I think these will hold me over for a while from wanting an aftermarket cat-back from a visual perspective.

This is how the car looks as it sits today with the winter wheel setup. Aside from the CSF intercooler and ER chargepipe, I also have the M Performance Carbon Rear Spoiler and Tuner Motorsport 10mm spacers on order.

Looking great sir! Those Apex wheels are 18's? Where did you get them? Mine are Enkei Raijun.
It's going to be hard to tell who is who on the roads during winter, LOL! Last edited by switlikbob; 02-04-2018 at 03:56 PM.. |

Just discovered a set of TMS 10mm spacers were waiting at my front door. Guess I’ll have a little project to do after work tomorrow. Anyone have any tips installing spacers?

Are those the Enkei Raijins? If so, I was considering those for my STi for a winter wheel setup, but they only offered them in a really wide fitment for snow tires. Love the polished look. For the STi I ended up with OZ’s.
