Spare Change Storage

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
So, I know not everybody carries around around spare change in their car, but I like to have it in case I need meter money or if going through a drive through. But haven't found a good place for it in the M2. The cupholder/ash tray would be obvious, but don't want to give up one of the cupholders for that. The glove compartment on the drivers side would be the next logical choice. It would be great to have a tray that slides in there, maybe made out of silicone to keep the noise down. But haven't been able to find anything like that
Anybody else come up with brilliant ideas I can steal?

The cup holders work for me. Also under the hinged flap just ahead of the cup holders.

I don't carry cash..... but I do have a container with a couple of bucks worth of quarters in case of an emergency and they only have coin operated phones around

I just dumped the contents of my coin jar of 30 years onto the front passenger side floor, so far I have had plenty of change within easy reach.

I keep quarters for car wash low pressure deionized water cleanups (have CQuartz Finest paint protection) in a zip-lock baggy with rubber band wrapped around so there is no rattle in the center storage compartment.

Or you could look for a low cost solution something like the following.

My old e46 M3 used to have a BMW accessory similar to the above Amazon reference but it fit perfectly under the armrest and rotated out of the way (See below image). It was perfect. Would love to have something like that for the M2 too, but haven't found a nice solution yet.

What about the storage compartment under the light switch? Seems like a good place.

The Executive Package uses this area for the switches, no drawer.

Ashtray. Move it to the drivers door if carrying a passenger with a drink.

This is what I'm doing for now. Determining if the noise it makes becomes too annoying.

OMG!!!! I literally had to walk down to the parking lot to see if I had that drawer. So cool, I had no idea it was there, despite having the car for 10 months. Thanks for posting that.

I used to keep change in a small leather, zippered change purse that literally could go anywhere.

COINS? Are those things still around? Honestly, only time I have touched coins in the past 2 years is when I gave a quarter to my 4 year old for eating his entire dinner one time.

I tore the wireless charger out of the arm rest and put in the rubber OEM tray from the 2series. Plenty of room for change and other things now

I must be the 10th guy cause that's how I found it, by reading the manual. Probably would have taken me months otherwise.
