Adjusting the seats lower.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum.

I just bought the M2 LCI and i was wondering if there is a way to lower the standard seats even lower by adjusting ''someting''?

I'm 6'3 and i love my car but the one thing i can complain about is the hight adjustment ...

So if any of you know a way to lower the stock seats or have any suggestions on mods etc, perhaps seats(not too expensive), i would be forever thankfull.

Thanks in advance.

I would love this but don't think its possible without changing out the seats. When I first got my car I felt the same way....compared to my old MINI in the M2 it felt like I was sitting on the roof

yeah me too, i constantly find myself trying to lower it more

my friend on the other hand who drives a q3 thinks my seats are super low

might also be the fact my previous car was lowered and this one isn't yet

Yep, I know that some M2 markets offer an option for manual seats that help, but sadly not for my region.

Thanks!

I believe the option is available for the Australian market. They offer a stripped down car called the M2 Pure, which removes some options like electric seats and comfort access.

Take a look at their spec document here

I have a UK car with the manual seats which I bought specifically as I am 6’5”. Have to say they are fine for me coming from a MK3 Focus RS with Recaro CS buckets which were stupidly high. Much lower driving position and feel it was the right choice as my wife has her own car so not having to swap seat settings all the time which I could see as being a bit of a pain otherwise.

Im 6ft 9in and with the seat fully lowered & tilted up at the front so it sinks another inch or so at the back,I fit perfect.

My head is 1 1/2inch off the roof. I cannot get a sunroof car because that lowers the headlining by 2inch.

Electric seats adjust lower than electric if I remember correctly. Hopefully you can see how big I am in the image below.

I'm 6'5" and don't have any issue. When it comes to track time and need for a helmet that may be another story...
