I was expecting people to be embarrassed by a Aztec or Probe. Not classic jags or an rx7.

Yeah, about 3/4 of those responding are completely missing the point.

If you showed up to a Cars & Coffee with an FD RX-7, vintage MR-2, or a Focus ST, they would happily show you where to park. If I showed up in an Oldsmobile Aurora, they would ask me to leave the premises.

There's nothing embarrassing about a Marauder or its Japanese cousin, the Infiniti M45.

Ford Probe is a funny one. My dad had one of these for a little while and I was driving it on a pencil straight road going about 45mph when one of the rear side windows just flew right off the car. My dad was convinced there were some shenanigans afoot but I swear, them is the facts.

I wouldn't be embarrassed driving any of the cars that I have already posted, in fact I'd be proud to own any of them.. I do have a bit of a secret crush on them though

I don't think many of these choices are embarrassing. Some not even remotely.

Here's mine. We were renting a car in Hawaii and they pulled this car around. I said, "no way I'm driving a Cadillac, do you have anything else?" They said it was the last car so we took it. I'm embarrassed to say I loved that car.

I absolutely can't believe no one's confessed to this one, which is mine for sentimental reasons (I learned how to drive a manual on one back in 1986):

Back in the day, the Subaru Brat Baja was the shiznit. Fun as hell to drive, too.

Great thread. Sub'd.

Always liked this land yacht (late model Eldorado/Seville). I only recently discovered these were FWD, which puts them squarely on the embarrassing list:
