North Bay - Sonoma/Marin M2 roll call
I'm wondering how many other M2 owners are up in the Marin/Sonoma counties?
Would be sweet to meet up or do a rally around the roads up here. Also if anyone knows of other similar type car clubs, rallyes up here please chime in. I really just know Marin Cars n coffee every first Sunday in Novato at Vintage Oaks. That's about it... |

Hi Prollig-
I'm in San Rafael. MR_M2 is setting up a meet in Fremont on 4/1 (rescheduled from this Saturday 3/25 due to possible rain). I'm going to try to get to that but would be interested in meeting up locally with a fellow M2er if you can. According to the google map thread, I'm the only one north of the bridge, but it sounds like you're flying under the radar. Didn't know about the Novato cars and coffee, may scope that out--never done that before. Any other M2s? |

meet up
I was thinking we might want to do a Marin-Hiway 1 meet up sometime after the Fremont meet up (Mid May?)....much better driving Marin north...being in Berkeley, I can roll either way.

Yeah Fremont is a haul. I second the "coastal Main rallye," idea.
I'm gonna go to Marin Cars and Coffee at the vintage Oaks this upcoming Sunday April 2nd. Honestly it's a pretty decent group of cars. https://www.facebook.com/Marin-Count...0155830753455/ Hope to see some other M2s there! |

C&C in novato was packed! Anway, saw one white m2 toward the end. Obviously not a BMW car show...but good turnout.
So who's planned a rallye before? I was thinking about throwing something together... I drive a lot up here around the back roads from lucas valley through Pt Reyes up to petaluma etc, but throw some good roads out there! I don't consider myself a veteran on the roads in Marin/Sonoma at all. |

How does Sunday morning, April 23rd look for everyone? I was thinking we could meet over in Marin (ie in Fairfax at the Java Hut?)...and roll from there at 8am....heading out Sir Francis Drake to Highway 1 and go along Tomales Bay north bound, pretty sweet stretch of road between Point Reyes Station and Tomales, with plenty of possibilities, or just cruise on up to the Russian River and then east for a lunch stop...ie Lagunitis, or ??? turn around and back toward Stinson Beach???

That was the first time I had ever been to a c&c and I have to admit I was very impressed. A ton of cars of every type and condition. None of the douchebaggery of a "real" show. More vettes than I would have guessed.... |
