Average, average... The fuel range can significantly drop during some stints.

H&R Sport Springs installed. Will wait for them to settle, decide on spacers, and get an alignment. Thumbs up to Helix Motorsports for the great service.

Nice! The bone stock car does look a bit like a SUV, especially the clearance at the back and it calls for coilovers or at least springs. Feedback on the springs will be greatly appreciated! What's the claimed lowering?

I installed my P3CARS P3 Multi Gauge that I'd had in my M235i for the last 2 years. It was getting dark so I didn't have time to tap into a 5V line to the trunk release button to enable the auto dimming feature yet, but I'll do that tomorrow after I get back from my eye exam in the morning as well as drilling my pedals to install the M Performance ones at the same time.

It really annoyed me that on the F22 and now F87 that BMW hides all the information about our cars from us such as the oil temperature, water temperature, etc..., so I got this which can give me all of that info without losing an entire center air vent like the AWRON one, as well as the fact it was between 1/4 and 1/3 the price of the AWRON one.

Took me about 1 minute to remember how I had routed the OBD-II cable down to the socket and had it all done in under 5 minutes. If you were doing the install for the first time without having purchased it already installed in the vent assembly it would be more like 30 minutes of tedious work taking the vent apart and then removing 2 of them to fit the display and then having to install this little bit fiddly 3D printed part so that the rest of the shutters left still move with the adjuster.

If anyone else is interested in this kind of thing, its the OBD-II one listed here http://www.p3cars.com/shop/bmw/bmw-1...p3-vent-gauge/

I know it can tell you oil temperature, water temperature, boost pressure (you can even add a manual 80 psi tap to it if you want to get your reading that way), throttle position, timing, rpm, battery voltage, IAT, EGT, 0-60 times at the very least, so its really quite a nice full featured product.

H&R states 0.8 inch drop all around, I believe. I think it's a near perfect drop; ride (in all of my 20 minutes of driving), is fine; similar to any other car with aftermarket lowering springs. A bit stiffer, but absolutely tolerable...

Other than a subjective need for spacers, I think it looks great...

I ran a bunch of laps around Pueblo Motorsports park. About 2.2 miles per lap, with some very nice flow. Got pointbys from a couple of Exiges, and ran down a couple of M4s. Gave rides to several people who agreed the M2 is a monster.

Instructing at our fall school tomorrow, so I'll get a few more sessions, including taking students around after lunch.

Your pics weren't loading because whatever you were hosting the photos on wasn't allowing them to be used to parse the url into an image so I took the liberty of rehosting them for you to fix it.

Your new wheel and seats look awesome, but I'd not go for the seats with my back issues, I need the nice adjustable lumbar support the stock seats have.

I know that it can show ECU speed (real speed), but can it show the value in km/h instead of mph ? In other words, can it be influenced by the km/h iDrive settings ? You can easily test this by temporary changing the iDrive setting from mph to km/h and then check what figure is shown on the P3 display.

Apart from all the other data read out by this device, having a decent permanent speedometer showing in big digits accurate speed would be interesting, as it allows you to use the OBC for other menus (range / Drive Limit Info / navigation etc.) and regardless of the sometimes poor readability of the analog speed and rpm dials when driving the M2 in darker environments (daytime instrument lighting issue: see here).

Yeah there is a menu that you can get to in the display by holding down both of the buttons and then you can change things like the brightness of the display, if its in imperial or metric units, and other stuff like that. If you looked at the site you can see they make them in both left and right hand drive models. Its really an amazing product.

Also with having it hooked up to my M2 now, I can really see just how much they improved the cooling on our engine vs the one in my old M235i. Its been much hotter than usual the past few days and while going around for a drive that I know would have got the oil temperature up to about the mid 240 degrees Fahrenheit (118 c roughly), while on the M2 with the upgraded cooling, the highest I saw was 207 degrees ( 97 degrees c) going about 80-85 mph (128 to about 140 kph) with an ambient temperature of around 85 f (29.5c).

BMW really did a great job improving on an already awesome car.
