Test fitted these up front with a 12mm spacer. Stock suspension besides millway street camber plates currently set at -2.5. Inside clearance is very close, but no rub. If I were to order spacers again I would probably choose 15mm. First track day with this setup is April 1 at Lime Rock. I’ll get the whole set on and take some more pics then

I’ll be moving on an 18” Apex setup this year for track use targeting 275/295 RE71RS and I’m interested in all the intel I can get. Debating 9.5/10.5 or 10/11… Last edited by ///393; 02-22-2023 at 06:57 PM.. |

The problem with trying to feel the differences to me is that my 18's were lighter, smaller in diameter, greater in width, and wore different stickier tires. There is a notable handling, turn in, and playfulness difference but I am not sure how much each aspect weighs in on the driving difference.

After wearing 19 for more than 2 years, now with 18 I just did 50km with the 18 to the workshop to mount uniball arms in the front & alignment, and during the trip I realized that I had lost time and money with the 19 rims, I'm impressed with the change. The best rims in the world: 10.5 ET46 295/30/18 square with 4mm rear spacer & 15mm on front. |

Fellow Fat-tire fanboys, check out that thread for more shots of the grey OG M2 linked above. TLDR from the post, he's only running lowering springs, but you'll need to dial in quite a bit of camber to run that fitment at the track. We didn't note significant rubbing during the shoot, but it almost certainly would under heavy compression at the track. -Tom

What's your alignment setting? Did you roll your fenders or any works needed to fit 295 front? |

I was happy with them. My sessions were short(15min) but from what I can tell grip levels felt pretty consistent. Great tire for the money so far. I’m looking forward to getting more time on them so I can also asses how they wear.

Bumping this thread, we now have 18x10 ET40 VS-5RS forged wheels available for purchase on our site.
No photos of this setup on an M2 (yet!) but it should work well for those looking to run a square fitment with front spacers and potentially an alignment change depending on your tire. -Tom
