Put in final 12 hours after a good nights rest. June 7th PCD.
That's exactly what I did when I picked up my X6 in 2010. I will be honest with you, the last hour or two to Knoxville feels like forever. But I'm glad I did it and would do it again.

Oh and as someone pointed out here - don't do what I did and have one too many the night before!

Question, does the performance center issue/put on a temporary tag so you can drive home or do you need to bring your tag?

You should get the temp tags from your dealer to bring with you. They'll install them at the performance center. They will ask you if you want the front tag (if your state requires them) installed. Just say no.

I contacted the PDC, they are going to issue a temp tag since I'm from Florida but bought the car from a California number

My dealer in NC sent a temp tag directly to the performance center so I wouldn't have to carry one with me. On delivery day the performance center couldn't find the FedEx with the tag. They wrote up a SC temp tag for me instead (I also live in FL). So either way, not to worry, you'll drive off with a tag in place. And they won't drill your front bumper

Anyone bring a go pro and film their PCD drives? Was it worth it? Trying to finish up packing and getting right on space. Not sure if it's worth it to bring the mount etc. Also do they even let you go pro it?

I do know they allow action cams. Seems like most people use the suction cup mount on the front or rear window (in the interior), have the head strap, or use the hat clip.

I recorded all this with my own Go Pro including the hot lap in the M5. They let you record everything so make sure you bring your GoPro and extra battery..

Crammed it in, did the not let you do front windshield mount? With the sun it's kind of hard to see the course.

Bring all your gear! Mounts, head straps, and everything else. They allow you to record your experience.

Here's one of my videos (hot lap)

Do you get to pick the car for the hotlap? My understanding was you get a hotlap in the car you are picking up.

Not sure how it is always but that they we all picked up different cars, I was the only one with an M2. We did all the course exercises in the car you were taking delivery of but the hotlaps were in an M5.

A long day of travel but made it to the Marriott. Too excited for my day tomorrow to sleep!! Dreading the fact that I'll pick up the car only to drop it off again for Extreme to do their work.

It's tough to drop, off your car literally minutes after you finally get it but it's well worth it. Extreme does a great job! Enjoy your drive home -'that's the best part!!

I'm still waiting on a confirmed date but I got the ball rolling on PCD earlier this week. With a week 23 build, I'm guessing they will schedule me sometime in August which is fine by me. Ill be working in Charlottesville, Virginia at that time which is only a 5.5 hr drive from Spartanburg.

PCD was a hoot. I actually think I like the X5 off road section better than the driving sections. It was nice to be able to floor a M2 and boy does DCT feel awesome at speed. Felt like it had to fight for traction flooring it for the braking/skidpad section

Track portion was pretty cool, huh? Really shows what the M2 is capable of.

Yea, I was surprised at the level of grip these cars have. Also the DCT kind of had me in love with the power. The car I had was breaking traction in second during the skid pad portion. My SD card was full otherwise I would have filmed more.

My wife had the kids so I got extra time with no co-driver =D

Is it normal for the car to get discharged at NY when I'm scheduled for a PCD? The carrier will be at SC in 2 days... which is where I assumed the car will get dropped off... but that didn't happen...
