Decided to cancel my M2 order

I had been looking forward to my wk 50 allocation for a few months now and was planning to pair a MG ZEC M2 with my 15' SQ5. Well, all the waiting made me decide against having 4 cars in the family lineup which would've required one car to sit outside in the Chicago winter. Therefore, I've cancelled the M2 order and traded in the Audi for a 18' M3 ZCP in YMB, which should arrive just in time for my birthday in Feb. Since I decided to give up the SUV, the extra 2 doors became a necessity.

I truly appreciate all of the knowledge I gained from the M2 community over the past few months and hope to return in the future.

This is the problem with basically any major purchase that gets put off or delayed or requires a lengthy wait before it is completed. I've been exposed to this quite a bit in my real life which involves a business and some commercial property. It's only human nature because things come up, assumptions are challenged, and peoples' minds change.

Good luck with your vehicles and whatever you do will work out well.

Congrats on the new purchase. I’m sure you’ll have fun with either choice.

Thankfully, mine is paired with a Cayenne S so it’s able to sleep over winter.

Congrats for the new car. I am ready to swap my M2 with a 2017 GTR Track edition but not sure this is the right choice.

My M2 is my Daily Driving beauty help be relax after 12 hours in the office by the amazing noise of MPE and the fun to drive ability.

If I move to GTR it will become happy Friday and weekend car. Point is that during weekend wife's SUV takes more time due to kids activities therefore even today M2 is resting in the garage.

In any case M2 M3 or any other car give us some happiness therefore nothing wrong with any decision.

See the problem here is that you're approaching the situation all wrong. You need to be trading in the house for one with a bigger garage!

Sound advice indeed! Either that or move to a warm climate (although I shudder at the thought of paying CA state taxes).

Sweet lineup! I'll be getting full PPF on the M3 and it will only be leaving the garage on dry days. I will drive the family beater car (CX-5) in the rain and snow.

Congrats on the M3!

M3 is a totally different car: more more but is (ands feels) heavy.

I personally think the M3 is a better car, but I love how the M2 handles and stays on its line. You will enjoy the M3 goodies the M2 doesn't have.
