Talking M2 LCI high res pictures and headlight video

Took delivery of this beauty last week and shot few high res pictures highlighting the differences between the LCI and pre-LCI models.

I traded my 1M for this BSM M2 and so far the car has been great!

It was a bit difficult to leave my 1M at the dealer and it will always have a special place in my heart, but I'm also very happy about this new M2.

IMHO the M2 is all what the 1M was but turned up to 11.

It's more refined, powerful and "better finished" that its predecessor... not to say the 1M was bad (actually, it is still and always will be one of the greatest BMW ever) but the M2 has exceeded all my expectations.

Stock noise is also great! Much louder than the stock 1M. Which puts a big smile on my face every time I start the engine

I will be installing the MPE at the 2000km/1200mi break-in service and I'll be making a video comparison

Here's few pictures (click to open with high res)

And here's a short video on the functionalities of the new hexagons headlights and led taillights (HD available as soon as YT finishes processing)

If you guys have any particular request for pics/video about the LCI please let me know

Thanks for watching

Maybe I'm blind as I have never noticed it before, but do ALL markets get the door panels with the alcantara and blue stitching??

Quick question,
I understand from the video that the "external" light is low and high beams.
What about the "internal" one ? Is it the fog light ?

Strange how the reverse lights are still incandescent on the LCI. Definitely gotta swap that out with an LED.

Congratulazioni e goditela, davvero.

I'm still on the fence about color choice... choosing is difficult and at the same it isn't... just 4 colors available, so if avoid being spoiled for choices, at the same time they are so few that U almost have no choice.

BTW, it's really a great car and for many reasons... for its look, the stock exhaust sound and the driving experience.

P.S.: Beyond color choosing, indecision also regards between choosing M2 or M140i/240i, even though I'm more inclined to choose the former one in case... taking into consideration price difference between M2 and Mx40i and even the installation of the LSD.

Congrats and enjoy it.

I believe the inner headlight bulb is just a dummy for esthetic reasons, serves no purpose

front fog light are not present on the M2 (no space on the front bumper), and cornering lights are from the adaptive unit which is the outer bulb

Yes as far as I know all the M2 have the same interior regardless of the market

Thank you so much!
I am very happy about this purchase!

The M140i surely is a great car, depends I guess from the type of use you wanna do that will allow you to decide to get either one with the comforts of a "standard" series or else another one with a full "M package" (chassis, suspensions, handling, etc)

I quote the famous "trio": You don't buy an M car just for the engine, but most importantly for the chassis, suspensions and their balanced handing

Since you're already talking about post-mounting and LSD I guess handling is important for you, so it might be more convenient for you to get an M2 which includes (together with the complete suspension package) the rear differential.

I understand also the price factor together with the additional road taxes that here unfortunately don't help in a choice like that.

Thank you again and good luck with your purchase!

Grazie mille!

LOL exactly :P

Unfortunately couldn't keep the both... and besides they're quite similar cars so don't really see the point in keeping them both IMHO

Thank you guys

Other mods on the list are:

- Black front grille
- Aluminum pedals
- Alcantara/Carbon interior kit (shifter and handbrake)

Besides that I already coded the car with CarlyForBMW to remember the last setting of the Start/Stop logic... saves me from pressing the button every time I start the car :P
