Not so BOSS. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...tland-40239879

Driver 22, passenger 20. If he's still alive this driver deserves prison.

M2 Written Off

To take down a tree and the M2 end up 100-yards down the road indicates the energy involved was epic. Hopefully the passenger recovers completely and lucky that no one else was involved.

Another idiot driving over his head on a public road - with traffic going the other way! He crashed right after the video. To give you an idea how fast he was going, he totally chopped down a tree of about the same size he landed against about 100 yards up the road. The scariest thing is that the silver hatch going the other way missed being part of the whole mess by a second or two.

The whole situation reminds me of something I saw in a letter to Roundel magazine this month (paraphrasing): "Always drive like everyone else on the road is trying to kill you."

Reckless and lucky not to kill anyone.

Wish them both a speedy recovery but a ban or even prison required for this idiot.

That's nuts. Did the car flip at all? The roof is completely torn off, gas (petrol) flap missing, taillight missing. Even if they survive this I'm sure they will live with some handicap for the rest of their lives. Stupid on so many levels.

Emergency services cut the roof off to get the injured couple out.

In major accidents, fire crews in the UK always remove the car roof. It improves access for the paramedics so they can stabilise people before extracting them.

Idiotic moron bringing bad rep to other M2 Owners, as you can see from my signature I live in Aberdeen and same colour of car M2 as mine...

Once the police see the social media evidence, if the driver makes it out of the hospital they will probably do a stint inside...

Based on what I see you probably don't really want to know, unless from a safety data point on how well the car did incurring those forces.

I hope the passenger is able to live life uninhibited after this event, and natural selection does its job with the driver. Many lives were at risk preceding that event. The videos are almost unbelievable.

Truer words have never been spoken. I rode motorcycles in Los Angeles for thirty-one years and survived based on that premise.... and some luck.

One of the many reasons I don't go to car meets. Every time.. someone does something stupid. Maybe they get lucky and everything's fine. But maybe they don't.

I'd feel bad for OP but I kind of don't. The M2 is no cheap car by any means, can't possibly their first fast vehicle. 100% preventable, with an entirely likely and well understood outcome. Drive like an idiot, and the only reason you don't turn into OP is pure luck.
