My new HS M2C with 2NH brakes & 763M rims

I want to share comparing pictures of black 788m and 763m on my HS M2C. I took my delivery on this Monday and finally installed an ASD bypass harness and 763 rims today. Of course a wheel choice is quite a subjective matter, but the 763's looked better to me because of the wide opening and light weight. I have to admit though the 788's are not bad rims at all. Sorry for the bad quality pics. Long exposure for focusing on the rims made that the HS silver got quite saturated to white.

Natually my 788m will be for sale, so pm me if anybody is interested in. I will tell you about them in detail

Edit: some differently angled 763 photos taken in my garage (also crappy) are added.

You know what? The 763s look significantly better than 788s before installation. After installation? They look just better, not significantly, lol.

763Ms make the car look more aggressive IMO. Can't wait to do the same!

I had that same opinion when I went from 220M to 359M on my M3. I was convinced the 359's would be SO much better and they weren't. LOL

Actually and probably controversially I think the 788’s hold their own, I also was planning on getting a set of 763’s but now that you have kindly been able to show a side by side I think I’ll stick with the stock wheels! if I had a set of 763’s I would put them on but as I don’t I think the stock wheels will be just fine and I’ll put the associated £4K into some cosmetic changes! Car looks epic by the way and well done for making the mods so early! Thanks for your post!

Did you notice the weight difference between the 2 sets? How she drive now?

Waiting on actual photos of “GOLDtastic” set!

Yes I agree. 763s make the car meaner. IMO, the car looked little more urban (?) with the 788

Awesome! This will probably be my exact setup. Curious if you could feel a difference with the 17 lbs of unsprung weight lost. Also, how is the ASD delete?

Would love some more pictures.

Thank you! I exactly know what you meant- if I could make a choice between them i would always go with 763's but with signficantly more money? I would stick to the stock. The 788 look just good!

I really thought that was Alpine White, but anyway , I was thinking about getting the 763 wheels on my car. After looking at the pictures side by side, I feel like the 788s fit the car better. I’m sure the 763 are nicer and lighter but they just don’t seem to “fit”. Stuff like this is so subjective, I’m sure someone thinks they look way better. Either way beautiful car and it will look great with whatever set you have on there.

Big thumbs up for the 763s, I like how darker wheels make the bodywork appear to hug the ground more closely and accentuate the contrasting disc.

Arrrr, it is unfortunate that I honestly can't compare before and after. The car had just 30 miles on it when the 788s were taken out. So i couldn't drive it "spritually." But I guess someone should be able to feel the difference in a serious driving after broken in. 17 lbs rotational mass is not small.

I can definitely say something about the ASD. One should get rid of that especially if (s)he wants to extract little better sound from the already crappy stereo of M2C It appears that the stereo can play flac files up to 192kHz 24 bit so it is better than I expected but something is really missing in the sound. The stereo is a completely different topic so I will probably open another thread about it after some research.

Yes I understand why you said that. I saw you got one of the very early production cars. Congrats and enjoy the driving!
