Not the best photos - 265/35 and 285/35 w/ camber plates. Can run them with OEM suspension fine. ALTHOUGH, the fronts WILL scrape the under body under max compression - which I doubt you would hit on the street unless you hit a speed dump way too fast. The rears will be fine.

The 285s really look good in rear. I was very very happy with the look.
I'm in Calgary Alberta, couple shots of snow already, although it melts off, Temps hovering around freezing and wet pavement makes the pss's a bit dangerous. |

1) Are the camber plates for fender clearance or just more camber? It looks like you would have sufficient clearance without the extra camber. 2) Is your car street driven only? Those who have mentioned rubbing on this tire size combination often mention that it occurs under the severe compression resulting from track use. |

I have no rub whatsoever on pss 265 fronts star spec (my stock rear tires were moved to front) and new pss 285/35 rears on my stock rims and all stock suspension. 30,000 kms and no rubbing. Daily driving and a couple autocross days.

Thanks! You and isnoey pretty much have me convinced to go the 265/285 route when my M2C. arrives.

Installed 265/35, 285/35 19's today. Was wondering what tire pressure everyone is running.
Thanks

Just got my M2 Competition recently and considering to upgrade my stock 245/35 and 265/35 tires while retaining the stock wheels and suspension.
Is 255/35 front and 285/35 rear recommended? Looking at the thread, it seems 255 is safest choice for front without issues with it seems 285 is fine. Will this be a good setup? Or just do 255 front and 275 rear like a stock m4? Im from a tropical region so its practically summer all year where I’m from. Thanks for your feedback! |

Really want someone with M2C stock suspension to try 265/295 (or even 305?). I'm wondering if that will counter the CS+ tune effectively
I can't believe the 265 will rub if you have camber plates on stock suspension... These damn 19's are a headache |

295 & 305 will fit in the rear with stock suspension & wheels, but may require some additional negative camber. 305 is too wide for a 10” wheel, IMO. |

295 is fine on everything stock but it's the max. You're right, 305 won't fit.

Right, and really you won't net anything anyways. The 305 can wait until there are some better 19" aftermarket options with 9.5 and 10.5 respectively. I suppose I'll live with 255/295 on the 788's in the interim. Good info Thanks.
Edit: Crap I forgot no 200 tires in 295. So I guess 285 is max for me on 788s in the rear if I want to run the RE71R. What's crazy is when the 10.5 19's start appearing I can run the 305 RE71 but it's a 30 series and they don't have a 30 series 255! I can't win for losing... Not that bad though but is it enough to mess with computers? Last edited by Proctor750; 12-13-2018 at 01:22 PM.. |

The 255/285/35/19 RE-71R combo is the fastest track tire setup you’ll find for the M2, except for slicks.
I run 9.5/10.5 width track wheels, so I run 265/35 in the front and will try the 305/30 in the rear. They are close enough in diameter that you don’t need to worry about a 30 in the rear and a 35 in the front, when on track with DSC off. It’ll be more about handling balance, which I won’t know until next year. As far as running them on the street, not sure if the DSC will get upset. I think it’s within range that the computer will adapt. Last edited by ZM2; 12-13-2018 at 01:27 PM.. |

I had looked up the wheels you were running and they were on sale for a great price. My only concern was that they are cast which makes me a little nervous in a heavy car that carries this kind of speed. Not saying they aren't quality I just don't know anything about them and have seen cast wheels breaking in the past. Obviously you haven't had an issue yet but then again it looks like the apex guys might have something for us in a few months too. Are you sticking with yours? I guess more track time is required. Also - how are you with curbs on track...? |
