Very Confused!

Hi All I'm looking for a set of Michelin PS 4s and it seams that every site has multiple 4s's available or at least listed. Which ones should I be looking for? I will be mounting them on my new Richland forged rims 9.5" up front and 10.5" in the rear. Looking at the 255/35/19 and 275/35/19.

You'll want to get the generic ones. Do not buy BMW star spec or the ones listing Mercedes. None of those are designed for the M2 so best to stick with the generic ones.

Those are the tires I bought (the generic XL).

Yes! This is what I ordered but there are still way to many 4s's as options, not just BMW or Merc. Glad I ordered exactly what you spec'd.

While it is correct that the BMW Star PS4S spec is superior to the generics, none of the star spec were designed for the M2. You can absolutely put star spec PS4S on an M2, but you will get worse performance compared to the generic tires. Now can you mount a 255/35/19 BMW star spec tire that was designed as a rear tire for the G20 3 series. Yea you can, but I wouldn't recommend it. Stick with generic PS4S on the M2 OR use MPSS tires in BMW star spec as it comes from the factory. Only Michelin and BMW know what type of modifications were done to the MPSS BMW star spec for our cars.

I wasn't suggesting that the PS4S star spec was better for the M2C (PSS star spec) specifically, but rather that the review suggests that the star spec PS4S is better than the generic PS4S - and I guess I should add at the expense of a small penalty on wet handling.

So in other words if you own a M2C and you're going for a PS4S no matter what, and the only question is star spec or generic, then based on the content of this video I would probably choose the BMW star spec version of the PS4S.

But the tire sizes would potentially be different, so you'd have to change wheel sizes etc.

Eh - what do I care - I'm not buying them either way.

LOL.

But I did buy the non star PS4Ss for my M2. No regrets.

Oh and they are much better than my stock Contis.

One thing I did wonder from the video is if a BMW star spec PS4S in a size different than the stock size for the M3 gets the same 'special content' as the stock M3 tire sizes?
