The only positive that I have heard is that the parts are now an official part of your car and documented on the on the list glued to the window (?) and show up in the BMW system when the dealers look it up. Yeah, cool but not worth not having the original parts.

I was also told port install was cheaper. Otherwise why would any one do it other than the above reason.
