M2 - In Stock for anyone looking in TX

Hi,

I'm in Cali, but I did a euro delivery through a dealer in TX. She contacted me and said they have a M2 in stock if anyone is interested!

She also gave me a fair deal for a euro delivery and I never had to step foot in TX.

PM me for contact info.

Cheers

I looked at this one when I visited Classic BMW in early June. Talked to the sales manager who said they had a waiting list of 60+ people. The M2 on the floor was being used as a demo only. He claimed they weren't letting people drive it.

Kind of an oxymoron. Demo but no one can demo it.

65K is that with ADM? Or just MSRP + M2 Performance prices?

MSRP (DCT and exec pack) with all these goodies added:

- MP exhaust with CF tips
- CF mirror caps
- CF diffuser
- Black grilles
- Black gills
- Pedals
- Interior kit
- Rear winglets (odd they only added rear ones)

I think that's it, might be missing a few things, trying to remember lol

They were going to keep the car all month of July and then randomly pick a day in August, sell it. First person that shows up at the dealer that day gets it.

Easier to sell M3 and M4 and M235 and M240 with. ...

DFW area dealers don't even try to sell 1 and 2 series. They step people to the 3/4 series immediately.

- Look at this nicer interior
- Look at this nicer leather
- You don't want an " entry level BMW "
- Plus it's in stock ( because we don't stock 1s and 2s ).

Anyone that lives in DFW area will notice this immediately when shopping for a 2 series.

A simple trip to Austin and you will see 2 series cars all over the place and in stock and available and ready to sell whereas Dfw area dealers will have about three 2 series on their entire lot (usually loaded M235 verts)

The funny part is that the DFW area dealers didn't get many 1M and they surely won't get many 2 series, yet many people are happy to be 56th in line at Classic for awhile.

Like most car buyers, they aren't particularly Rabid about any vehicle and eventually they will be flipped to an M3 or M4 - especially as lease residuals drop on those.

When I ordered my M2 on Saturday at Classic BMW I asked about the floor model they have. My sales associate said someone offered them $10K over the price but they turned it down since they wanted to keep it on the floor. He also said they don't sell over sticker price.

I'll 2nd what was said about it being hard to find the 1/2 series in DFW. In 2011 I went to look for a 1 Series M. Certainly folly, but I figured I'd give it a shot. When they didn't have one, I tried to test drive a 135. There was one at Classic, and one at Dallas, neither being a manual. I test drove the auto then ordered a manual on faith. The sales associate did point out a 335i xDrive on the way to his office, but otherwise didn't push the 3 series since I was pretty up front about just being interested in a 1.

Keeping the M2 on the floor is probably not a bad move. Draw in someone looking at that, tell them they would be #XX on the list, but say they could order an M235i now, or even get an M240i sooner when they are available.

Honestly, though, I get the feeling they are using it less to sell a car and more to sell all the carbon fiber accessories they have on it. I'm not that interested in most of it, but the mirror caps and exhaust tips do look pretty cool.

I'll try and talk to Judy! I hope it's still there. Looks like it's MSRP + M Performance goodies sans front splitters.

Looks like both Austin and Classic BMW aren't selling their demo cars.

Passport BMW is selling the LBB with performance parts above MSRP so MSRP + M2 Performance + ADM

I'm pretty sure it's still there. I drove it a week ago Saturday. There was even a BMW of Austin commercial on TV today (a general July sale commercial) and the scroll at the bottom said "Come by a see the hard to find BMW M2".

I was able to talked to Judy. She's super nice and has verbally said that they do not sell above MSRP. However, the car is not for sale until their BMW part is over or something.

That doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but I see the logic. I communicated with Judy at BMW of Austin and she said they have 72 people on the wait list and knocked off 16 with 4 production numbers last month (her words, not mine). If I was added to that list, she anticipates a car in approx 6 months time. Can't say that I'd be happy to be on that far down the list at Classic or BMW of Austin at this point.

Sorry, I don't get it. How can you knock off 16 with 4 production numbers? Shouldn't that be knocking off 16 people in the list with 16 production numbers (one for each)?
