Long story short, local dealership has a waiting list to get a m2 at msrp....problem is its 11 cars long.

would it still be worth getting put on the list? How often do dealerships get allocations?

it wouldn't hurt to do so...especially if you make sure its a refundable deposit...

One or both scenarios can occur:
1. BMW ramps up production (as rumoured) thus more allocations to dealers.
2. People ahead of you on the list can drop off for whatever reason.

You should also do some homework on other dealerships that move alot of M cars and perhaps hop on their lists...you may just find one with fewer ppl on the list...

Makes sense, only reason i'm sticking with this dealership is their proximity and perks of being one of their customers.

Its just funny how out of the loop they are for allocations.

Right now 3 per quarter if they're really high volume M dealers.

If a small dealer, 2-3 per calendar.

My dealer doesn't even charge to get on the wait list. Once I placed my order and got a production number it was $1,000 non-refundable.
