There is a bit of fuel smell with it not as bad as catless but noticeable when standing behind car.

When your sitting with windows down in traffic there is no fuel smell unlike catless which was really bad

It is good I know a few people here in uk that have the vrsf 200 cell. If you’re tuned there’s no point spending anymore on a sport cat in my opinion

For what it’s worth, I have a 2018 M2 that the former owner installed an Active Autowerks high flow catted down pipe and exhaust and I notice a little smell at start up but that’s it. I’ve only had the car for ten months. I bought from a BMW dealer who states the car is not currently tuned. It passed inspection when I registered it and it’s been flawless since. I was worried the exhaust would be too loud but I’m addicted to this set up. I almost never close the valve to quiet it down. Love the sound. No issues so far with codes or performance… of any kind.

Our 200 cell is a great choice!

Let's put this way, If you stand right behind exhaust tips,
300-400 close to stock, barely noticed the smell, exhaust sounds very mellow, like you heard from an action movie sound track type. No CEL.

200cel You can definitely smell gas, but it doesn't make you uncomfortable. Sound more throatier, more aggressive, deep and loud at low end, volume die down around mid-high rpm. No rasp, still fairly louder than stock. A bit turbo whistle is audible at low rpm. This is the minimum cel I know that won't throw CEL. Some brands do, some brands don't. I think Fabspeed is the first brand No-CEL guaranteed and they kept their words pretty well. Nice quality.

Catless Smell is bad. I'd never stand behind a catless car over 3sec. Running E85 is 50% better than running gasoline. No smell while driving. You can smell a bit when idling/stop light with window down. no cabin smell windows up. No dramatic volume difference than 200cel when valve closed. When valves opened, there is nice turbo whistle and it becomes raspy when you put more load on engine at low rpms between 2k-3krpm. After 3k, raspy sound would be gone immediately and it screams like race car, very sensational. What you hear from catted, catless doubles it.

Again, smell is subjective. I'm in the middle ground.
