Thanks BruceM, I like the Black Out, think it help high lights its character in a sleeper sort of way, Its why I got the Black M235i side stripes to help show off her curves, since MG hides it a little. Hope it doesn't make it to boy racer, since there is naturally already a line there. Thanks for the Info on the Clutch Pedal Kit, hadn't heard of it yet. I read the UUC SSK comes with something similar to the BMS Clutch stop is that true? Was going to see how light the clutch feel was before looking into a heavy clutch, but the Clutch kit sounds pretty solid. SS Brake line was already on my radar but needed a track day or 2 to decide how good oem is. Since its my DD. I had SS lines on my 1996 MR2 turbo, and found it became a little too bitey for DD but thats was years ago and I was also alot younger and dumber back then. Sounds liek you have add some nice mods to your car aswell. How do you find the catless downpipe for DD?? never had one.
I agree modding is half the funny especially the DYI stuff. Trying to get as much stuff added to begin with that way I can tell my Boss (wife) that's how the car just comes hehe. I'm going to wait 12 months for tune and turbo, 1st I need to become quite acquainted with my new mistress, Made alot of mistakes in modding cars in my 20's due to being...... well a dumb 20 year old watching Fast and Furious Movies. Have to agree 30's are more fun, got the experience now to act like my younger 20's but now know how to do it ALOT better haha. I'll add all supporting stuff first then figure out how much HP is enough. I already know I don't want a straight line speed car. No point in going over kill if i cant put power to the ground and take corners without spinning out. The CF Handbrake getting from the M235i same with the shifter and black rocker panels. I remember seeing the manual stuff at SEMA but it hasn't came out yet for M2 and have been told that the M235i stuff will fit. Last edited by mcnevin; 10-18-2016 at 04:10 PM.. |

Hey IAN///M your car will look nice. I was thinking about AW at 1 point aswell. The spoiler aswell as all the other stuff should be done at port or the PCD. Im a Chef and have done multiple events for my local BMW dealership and know the owners and high up management and pretty much told them if everything could already be done before I pick it up and they said it would be done at port. I've heard some dealerships saying it has to be done at the dealership but that's just them trying to get you to pay for install and it probably came done from the port anyway.
My Bday is 12/30 turned 30 last year so its been 1 big combined 30th and 31st and 2 Christmas together, but totally worth it. Can't wait for spring next year, i'll have broken it in, and have told everyone i'm disappearing up into the NC and TN mountains for a week doing Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and Blue Ridge Park Way. Hopefully there will be a code to turn off Auto Rev without disabling everything else, so I can practice my heel and toeing. |

Just noticed on the web page you can track your BMW progress under the standard features tab that warranty is 4 years and 50,000 miles. I thought it went to 3 years and 36 or 38,000 miles for anything 2017 and after?? Can one confirm either way?

Yeah, I asked UCC whether their SSK would shorten the pedal throw, as opposed to the stick throw, and as I suspected looking at their kit online the answer was no. I take it you have not test driven a manual M2? I haven't either, but I did test drive a manual M4, which the sales guy said had the same clutch set-up. The effort is just way too light for me. Admittedly, my other MT car is a 930 with a racing puck clutch, and that sucker is stiff as hell, with less than an inch of travel between in and out, so I might be conditioned from that, but my previous e36 M3 clutch had an M5 pressure plate and was fine. Depending on what car(s) you are used to, the M2 pedal effort might be alright for you, but seriously to me it feels like a Toyota Corolla--too long, and too easy. The downpipe from Fabspeed I ordered is not their catless one, it's their one with a sport cat. Not as loud, but minimal power difference and will not throw a CEL. Fabspeed has a chart on its site that shows that the sport-catted downpipe alone gives you 35+ ft. lbs through a good part of the torque curve. For $1100, that is a mod well worth doing on bang-for-buck grounds alone, in my opinion! There are posts on this site that tell what happens to the stock brake lines in high heat conditions on the track. Not pretty. Stainless lines are a cheap mod, and there is nothing quite like a mushy pedal getting mushier by the lap to put a damper on a track session..... Thanks for the tip on the M325i brake handle. Had not thought of that, but makes sense. The boot won't have the right stitching (it's white, not blue), but I can pick up the boot with the right stitching from IND or the dealer... BruceM I don't blame you going with the dinan exhaust. It sounds great, it's lighter, and way cheaper than M Performance. I called genius today for update and it's still at 150 status. Said my estimated completion date was the 26th and that usually production picks up last three days.

The warranty is still 4 years/50K. It's just the free scheduled maintenance that's dropping to 3 years/36K.

Bruce M - Sorry thought you said catless, saw the fabspeed DP, already on wishlist, youll probably get it before me. Let us know your thoughts. Thanks for the tip on the brake lines. Check either IND or getbmwparts, I remember seeing it with blue stitching on one of those sites check m235i and M4 for it aswell, got it written down on my computer at home but it shat the bed, ill let you know where I found it. Cant stand light clutches like in the corolla, pretty much just a tad better than auto. Do they still make manuals for Corollas??
Austin Irons - Thanks for clarifying |

Where are you at in Ohio? We have the exact same build minus car play and have exact same SOP and EOP. I'm in Cleveland.

What a small world this is! It's you and I that are in production right now from BMW of Westlake. Hopefully your CA has been more responsive than mine. They still have two or three more allocations waiting to be built. I would love at least two weeks to drive the car before putting away. That and a really nice day for delivery. That's all I want right now.

I need a vin# for NA M2 produced after sept 15
Anyone willing to PM me their VIN, last 7, for any NA M2 produced after sept 15, 2016?
as per this http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1272805 I have been tracking all M2's produced. In september the sequential series of North American VIN jumped and I need to find the new series of vin's for an accurate database. I lost track at v786799 the 1201st NA M2 produced on Sept 15, 2016. v786800 is a vin for a eur 218i produced 3.21.2016. Seems like everyone on this post has week 43 and probably a VIN number assigned. Appreciate any help. |

Greetings from the UK. Posted earlier in this thread. My week 43 went from status 5500 - Assembly Complete on Monday to status 8200 - released to carrier today (Tue). I've been told the car will be at the dealership w/c 7th November - so week and half to go!
