This is the link to the National Military Foundation http://www.militaryfamily.org/get-involved/join/ You just join them and then use the member number to sign up with Penfed. They have a ton of other associations that make you eligible like the AMA etc so you might already have an association that qualifies you, its not limited to military or government employees only. Navy Federal on the other had is highly restrictive but similarly great to their members. I am fortunate enough to have both available, just cost me 4 years and a deployment to the Gulf War. So... SA called today, the car is offloading on 1/14 at Galveston port which means it'll be here in 10 days. He's telling me that finance rates are at 2.9 or 3.9 percent through BMW or 1.9 if we were to use a credit union. Nowhere near the 0.9 some lucky folks got. Needless to say I'm disappointed...

Don't let a 1% difference in interest rate change your experience, once you drive it off the lot you won't even think about it. I don't think there were many that were able to get 0.9 on their M2, I think I have heard of just a few who took delivery during a lucky period that BMW offered that incentive. |

No one likes to feel like they’ve been taken advantage of... but when one ordered the car was the rate of 0.9%-1.9% part of the equation?
Additionally global rates are moving up this past week cause China said to the US I don’t want ur god damn treasuries. Dollar weakening as well. Your mortgage rates about to move too people. Trump comes up with an infrastructure plan increases the deficit and u are guaranteed to pay more for your next car BMW or otherwise with higher rates... |

I know this. I'm refinancing my home right now and the rates are stupid. I locked in at 3.75% for 30 years in 2016 when I bought this home and already the refinancing rate is at 4.25%. In 2013 I locked in a 15 year mortgage at 2.625%, a rate almost never seen anywhere...
While it's true that rates are climbing globally, I don't believe this has yet caught up with automobile financing until now. In my estimation, under 3 is a good deal. I can still get under 2 with a credit union so that is likely where I will end up.
