So people seem to think the base price will be around $64K USD?

It's split between people saying that it will be a small price bump to support the M2 as the entry M car, and others saying a large price bump to compensate for the S55 engine. The forum doesn't seem to be aligned on what the price will be and why.

I predict alignment will occur on or about April 25th.

Probably because most current owners want it to be a lot more, while others see it following the ///M hierarchy and less premium features/power than the M3/M4, thus pricing guesses to reflect that

Well a lot of the disagreement is essentially debating the positioning of the Comp specifically. Clearly it will be higher than the current M2, the question is how much. Just a bit and still essentially the entry-level M? Significantly more and a price befitting one of the most visceral, fun, responsive and track-focused M's? Somewhere in between?

If it really is going to be marketed as more of a track/limited special it will have a CS/CSL/GTS designation and most of the performance features standard / a price tag to match. All of the evidence points to these being optional and a designation that is more of a Competition Package+, even the name suggests this. I want to note that this is an educated/logic based guess with the VIN specs and name designation in mind. ~$60k USD MSRP Pre-Options

Whilst that would be awesome, my guess is that the tweaks will amount to a greater bump in MSRP than that.

the base can't be more than the m3 @ $66.5k

m2 base = $59.9k

everything will be an option and expect a fully loaded to be $70-75k

This is my guess too! $59.9K is pretty likely IMO considering the competition and also the M3/M4 base price.

So? M4 production continues. Do you think there will be only $2-3K difference between M2 and M4 base prices? I think not...

I predict the M2 Comp. will base at 60K but BMW will nickle and dime you with a la carte options to make it seem like a 'reasonable' value... By the time you get it the way you want, it will cross 70K but will sell every single unit, regardless of the price.. Some of us bitch about an extra 5k more MSRP, to others, dropping 70K on someone they want is not even a second thought. Like my neighbor with 3 different 80K cars, who doesn't even know the model or features he bought; I had to teach him about his own cars...

Evo Magazine is reporting a ~1.2% MSRP price increase for the M2 Competition for UK over the '18 M2. £46,695 -> £47,260.

(Big thanks to @Mambo & @homerdog for informing us of this & for the pics!)

5% increase, probably already heavily optioned for the US market.

Switching from air to water top mount, to air to air front mount intercooler. Lower boost might make the M4 cooling setup not necessary. Although not good for people wanting to tune, as the air to water is a lot more efficient at extracting heat.
Good thing they grabbed the cooling setup for M4 Competition and stuffed it in, tune sounds almost mandatory.

UK OTR pricing increase is 5%...M2 vs M2C. Now that another UK mag(Autocar) has confirmed UK models has the sport seats and perf leather as standard. The US msrp increase should be less than 5%, sport seats and perf leather will be an option in the US.
