Good stuff, congrats on the new M2!

Do you have anymore photos of the old Circuit de Reims-Gueux? That would be neat to see.

Sainte-Chapelle Is one of my favorite places in Paris also. I thought photos in there were prohibited. Great looking car! I always enjoy well done ED write ups. Makes me want to do it again. Thanks for sharing such terrific photography.

Great photography! I assume that you used a tripod for the night photo of London Bridge for a long exposure. Any post-processing used, or just exposure control. Assuming Lightroom/Photoshop.

Did you use your Mavic Pro for the Ring photos? Reason I asked is that I just purchased the Phantom 4 Pro hoping that it could follow me around the Ring.

Great job!! Great 'glass' despite I'm a Cannon person

Thanks for sharing your experience with us! Very nice photos...

Can you please share info on which dealership you did the break in service at? And how far in advance did you book it (and how)?

First post updated with half a dozen or so more pictures from a few places I'd glossed over originally when writing the post.

Second post updated with a few videos.

Answers to questions below.

Thanks for reading everyone

Sorry, I don't. I wish I did. It was really cool. To be honest though, although I would've liked to stay longer, that road is busier than you'd think. Where you can park is a small shoulder which is somewhat divided from the main highway. So given time constraints and the traffic situation, what photos you saw are all I have and were actually just iPhone pictures.

Thanks! And, you're welcome, of course! Photos in Sainte-Chapelle, as far as I know, are permitted. I think flash might have been prohibited. Certainly, there were lots of people taking pictures while we were there. It was not only one of my favorite places in Paris, but of the whole trip. Simply stunning.

Thank you! London Bridge was taken on a tripod. I shoot in RAW, so post-processing is mandatory, and it's all done in Lightroom. So, as you probably know, all LR's tweaks are really just affecting what's already there. Plus, I suck a photoshop.

No drone on the ring. I've seen people on YouTube with apparent drone videos of the ring, but I didn't take any. The photos we have are DSLR shots taken either by my wife or by a ring photog.

Break-in was done at a ProCar dealership in Cologne. Our German friends made the appointment for us by calling. We probably booked it a month in advance, but I doubt if that was necessary. We basically did it after confirming ED and nailing down our itinerary. FYI, we spent approx $450 USD. It'll get reimbursed by my dealership, but just be prepared for it and make sure you keep the paperwork.

Fantastic trip! We went to Stonehenge last August - love the sunrise shot! I haven't been to Bath in 20 years probably. Last curry I had in the east end was down Brick Lane, no idea on the name, but they gave us 2 Cobra beers to come in, great day at the office

Paris is beautiful, taking in Versailles is great. Their gardens are lovely.

The ring shots are a great keeps. Enjoy your car in good health!

I should've said this earlier, because they really deserve it, but I've been busy and it sort of slipped my mind. BMWDavid and GOLFFRR came through for me big time to make this trip happen. The best thing I can say in their favor is this: my wife hates car shopping and she hates dealerships. This was the only positive experience she has ever had buying a car--probably because she never had to set foot in a dealership(!) and because she didn't have to listen to me bitch about surprises (because there were none). Thanks guys

Nice ride!
What date did you take delivery?
Also, what wrap or material did you use to protect the front end of your car at the 'Ring?

Fantastic photos, great captions, wonderfully planned trip, and gorgeous car! I, too, was fortunate enough to have recently (August 23) taken delivery of a BMW via European Delivery (our 8th time not including Porsche) - and as always the best vacation you can take on earth.

This time it was of a similar-looking (Long Beach Blue but sans moonroof) 2018 M2, also DCT. As I’m sure you’ll agree, the M2 was great fun to drive in Germany. We topped out at 265 kph indicated (164 mph) and had many good runs. And, even though we snapped many photos during the 26-day journey throughout Europe, your stunning photos stand alone. Thanks for sharing!

I bought the 6-inch x 100-foot roll and ended up using about 60-75% of it. Got it direct from XPEL. There is a BMW CCA discount.
