Amancuso I know what you mean. I did really well until I got over 700 miles. It revs up so quickly that if you make a move to pass it’s so willing to go straight to redline. The other few times was when it was in automatic mode (trying to be good) and I was slowing down for a redlight and I’d pull the paddle just as it was going from 4th to 3rd and it’d drop two gears and rev like crazy.
KevM2 I drove straight home. Didn’t have time to test it out yet but I will Saturday. I took a pic of my Istep before the appointment and looked at it after and it’s unchanged. I did however notice it sounded different in sport+ mode and more pops in every mode, so we’ll see tomorrow. I actually installed the ASD bypass harness last night but it was too late to go for a drive so I’ll be testing that out too. SheljW even though you’ve barely been able to drive your car you’re racking up those break-in miles fast. I like it. Only took me 4 months, driving on weekends on the freeways around here, in big loops trying to get there. I even did several midnight drives between midnight and 4 AM just to avoid traffic. Being in LA you can relate. If I tried that during the day I’d never get over 10 mph. If I find a place and time to try launch control I’ll let you know. I’m sure it’s like riding California Screaming. How’d the PPF and color correction turn out? I need to find a good place up here to have it done. |

Not to be a killjoy, but remember that you are supposed to ease your car past 5500 gradually after break-in service. So launch control right after the break-in service doesn't really comply with that recommendation. Now some people don't believe in break in at all, let alone easing it between 5500 and the red line after break-in, but that's clearly not this croud, so keep this in mind.

Last week, but put on wheel studs, new track wheels/tires, flushed the brake fluid, did a corner balancing, alignment and first track day of the year.

Went for a long cruise with my 7 year old. Loved listening to the MPE on a beautiful day with the windows down. My son seems to be a fellow gearhead in training.
Also turned a lot of heads during our drive - pretty sure they were all just looking to see if it was a Civic M2 or the new comp M2. |
